i'm not going to say how i know but as of august that was our wage cap and this was structured to stay the same until the summer when it would be reviewed. the report of the £750k fee was from a leeds reporter with a bad ratio of getting the 'facts' correct, according to leeds fans. he stated yesterday that snodgrass had called off contract negotiations yet the club have said that was nonsense so i'm going to go on the more widely reported £2m fee. it may be true, who knows! <ok>

as for the delay, i don't know but i guess its because of the medical. all terms were agreed before the weekend, howson watched the match from the stand on saturday and lambert said it will all be signed, sealed delivered this week. he said there should be no problem with the medical either so its a case of paperwork and waiting on more definitive test results i would imagine, seeing as the player is injured at this moment in time. i really, really don't think its anything to worry about.

Lambert takes his time and never gives out any info about his potential targets until it`s sealed........ Why should he?

our wage budget is £9.5 million a year

we have a squad of 28 players so that averages out at £6500 P/W

Now bates has come out and send Grayson has overspent by £2million which equates to £7900 P/W

Thats why howson has left

one thing we can agree on is that bates is a nasty piece of work. you lot definitely need rid as soon as possible <ok>
 
I don't want to be picky, but there's a joke on twitter about how howson didn't pass his medical as he had 5 fingers. Surely that's a good thing as people outside norfolk tend to haver 4 fingers and to pass a medial in norfolk you need 5 fingers!
 
I head a similar joke that he failed his medical cos he didn't have 2 heads and would **** his sister, I didn't get it tho so didnt retweet ;)

Of course Leeds United and Ken Bates didnt want it to come out in the press because our early renewals finish on the 31s January so this has stopped so many people renewing

mine is £471 <ok>

someone mentioned the other day that we have the 7th most expensive tickets in england, but i think that may well have been casual match day tickets, which are priced at £45 <yikes>

season tickets are still good value for money but we desperately need a bigger ground. the season ticket waiting list is getting rather substantial...

for the record, i'd say leeds are behind arsenal too in terms of stature, history and potential and probably everton too
 
i think some leeds fans have difficulty separating potential size from current size. leeds potentially are a massive club. they have been before and they probably will be again. however, as it stands you'd have to say even norwich are currently at least similar size club to leeds at worst. but don't be fooled - leeds are potentially a very big club, but very big clubs don't sell their captain to norwich and don't reside in the middle of the championship. in my opinion there is a pyramid of clubs in england. at the top you have manchester united, liverpool and arsenal who have consistently challenged for and won honours decade after decade. then you have the 2nd tier under them featuring clubs like tottenham, manchester city, newcastle, aston villa, everton, chelsea and leeds, all of whom have the potential to win things but have not done so on a regular basis but have had moments of dominance. norwich are probably in the third band along with teams such as leicester, the sheffield clubs, forest, ipswich, birmingham, wolves, west brom etc, all of whom have potential fan bases to tap into but are never really likely to achieve anything over a sustained period but may win a cup or have a long spell in the top flight. then you have clubs like burnley who are similar to clubs like norwich but don't have the fan base before you start drifting towards many of the clubs outside the top two divisions and so on... its all academic really. these days its more who's got the most money!

Our season tickets are pushi £700 mine is £612 not sure about renewing tbh
