Yes but Dempsey scored a hat trick against Newcastle in 6th, Stokes's goals probably game against Inverness, Dunfermline and Forfar! In other words, tin pot teams.
Definitely Great Definitely still learning Definitely Excellent ! Incidentally, what makes us love players like Chris Baird and Moritz Volz, is that they continue to learn, adapt, stretch themselves - to be positive for the team. Deuce is a brilliant individual, and does it for the team AND JENNIFER.
Demps is just one of those players who fans can't help but love. He may not be the most gifted football in terms of technical ability but he has heart and shows real passion on the pitch. A real fan favorite.
Watching that 'Fighter' video of him on YouTube made me realise how much football means to him. It's so refreshing to see a footballer embrace his talent rather than use it for personal gain. I would suggest everyone check it out if you haven't already. Very touching recollection of what happened to his sister.
I'm not so sure you can still class him as underrated anymore, people now seem to be sitting up and taking notice, at exactly the wrong time of the season!
Lol true. I've liked him for a few seasons now. He has everything in his locker (as Ray Wilkins would say lol)
..........good shout out for Aaron too though, Jonas. Thx and good luck - get in amongst those ""big six"" and really pi*s them off.
Love Hughes. Never gets mentioned (I know he doesn't play much now) but is solid 99% of the time. Souness sold him for £1m and bought Boumsong for £8m to replace him Cheers, we do stand a chance of 6th, just hope we have a positive response from this bad result. Your the first team who have done that to us this season. We've been solid most of the time. So well done and good luck!
My boys decided a couple of years ago that four goals in a match should be called a Patrick. This seems as good a place as any to offer that irrelevent piece of information.
Clint 'The Ghost' Dempsey does it again, ghosting in past defenders for another stack of goals. This time with the Old Firm of Zamora, Johnson, Duff and Murphy instead of the 3 Amigos (Dembele, Dempsey, Ruiz) which proves he is a player who can adapt into any system. Unlike some of our players who seem too stubborn to adapt.
Something interesting about Clint. Go to the Mails sports page click on Fulham. Scroll down to to days news, and their is a video collage, of Clint, in his MSL days, well worth watching.
After some deliberation, Clint gets the accolade of joining my team (below)! Unfortunately, this comes at the expense of Robbie Herrera, although I do wish him well - He is still working at Torquay. (And yes, I know that the formation is a bit of a fudge, but it's the names that count.) Obviously, Clint's ultimate prize is already in DR's name (and I'm not giving up on Zolly), but I trust he appreciates this award.
Gera ... Clint called and said he's now ready to retire, having joined your pantheon of great Fulham players. He told me, "I have nothing left to play for ... I'm heading back to Texas to write a book on great recipes for road-kill armadillos."
Can we all please stop bringing attention to Dempsey. If we want to keep him please say he's useless, rubbish and a waste of space. This way he'll be with us until he retires!
According o midnight "footy news"Aston Villa, and Arsenal are to offer Fulham 8mil for Clint Dempsey, and it states Fulham could be ready to listen. 8 MILLION when you see the rubbish out there commanding figures of10/15 mil,it makes you wonder. I think that at 28 he could be our corner stone for a few years to come, someone we should be building around, not building because. It also states from the players point of view,he would receive a substantial wage increase. (Anyone know what he is on by the way )
