Are you guys waking up every morning and reaching straight for your phones, tv remote or whichever piece of technology you use to seek saints news only to find us linked with a certain player but no concrete news. We have this every time a transfer window comes ( just look at the transfer gossip page ) Do you long for that one big signing as a sign of intent or purely to spark extreme excitement in your own mind? Or do you sit back and relax and take it as it comes putting full faith in the manager and chairman? Are you a anxious saint or a relaxed saint? I will admit I guess I am greedy and would like that one big signing just to put us on the map and show Southampton are back, However although I would be slightly disappointed if nobody else were to come in I would still be in a positive frame of mind for this run in to the finish. Thoughts anyone?
Very relaxed. First time in years I have trust in our management and Board to do the right things. If we need players Nigel and Nicola will get them. If they are happy with the squad we already have then so am I!
Was our busiest window when Pardew first took charge after the takeover? How many players did we sign in that one?
I have total confidence in the managment team but I agree its tedious when all we have is scraps of info which probably arn't true, i'd rather just know whats going to happen then all this speculation anyway 11 more days and then we'll know.
Am relaxed about our team and management, but that doesn't stop me checking all the time. The sensible part of me says buy secret little gems for tuppence and polish them into diamonds; the foolish part of me wants us to pay millions and show the world. Luckily I'm not in charge of the purse strings.
Maybe Nigel will sent out a group email before he approaches the next player. Waiting, out of the loop, thats the fun part! Just imagine you were a Forest fan, now thats harsh.
I sit at work on my phone and continuously switch between sky sports news, the official site and here! And yes the comment regarding is extremely harsh! Tut tut! However in saying that we have been through enough so its nice to be on the other side for once!
I was referring to transfer talk not league position how could I find constantly staring at the league table as tedious
No, I have more important things to worry about. Football is entertainment, it makes for a day/evening out. It shouldn't dominate your whole life.
Agreed Joey in some cases but some people do actually live for football as they have nothing else. I am happy not to be in that position but I also don't have anything against people who do. I have been to a few away games you can spot the ones!
That is not it at all. I have a mate who cleans the boardroom windows, and he said that Nicola wasn't prepared to swap lallana for Messi and £35 million. There wasn't enough cash in the deal apparently.
