To be fair to Sordell, he is 20. When Graham was 20, he was still floating around the lower leagues on loan from Middlesborough. Sordell is very talented, but as a young player, will be inconsistent. He will learn consistency, although probably not here, and if he doesn't then his career will fade. Mingoia and Whichelow are about the same age as him, but he is too important to be left out now. I think people forget because he's one of our best players, and at the moment we have no like-for-like replacement, that he is so young, and is only in his second full season at this level, and was left out for many parts of last season. I think we could use another more clever, goalscoring striker to take the pressure off him, as we have several grafters, who are all well and good, but you need someone a bit cleverer to partner them up front. Priskin's contract has just been cancelled at Ipswich, and I would welcome the signing despite the stick he'd get because he's not Troy Deeney.

Breaking news on SSN is that Hearts are being charged by the SPL re a breach of a promise to pay wages by either yesterday or today - wonder if we are casting any eyes in that direction?

Quite a few eyes will be being cast over the likes of David Templeton and Andrew Driver - but both are probably out of our price range :(

Not a lot else of quality to be honest - although Marian Kello is a handy goalkeeper.

neil warnock to be the next watford manager is a load of rubbish!

When he is ready he will be looking for a club close to his family and that means Yorkshire.

They live in Cornwall, but why let that stop a pony rumour.

Which particular aspect are you referring to PSH? The article clearly runs down Forsyth - something I disagree with - and claims that he should have been sent off on Saturday for a bad tackle - again something I disagree with. BHD has posted photos which suggest he was more sinned against than sinner.

I think we do need creative / attacking flair in the midfield, JE is more of an impact sub these days Hogg is indispensable and Bauben is hit and miss when he is on form he is very good but does go missing! I have said previously Forysyth was a very lucky boy to be on the pitch on Saturday. At full speed the Ref made the correct decision to book him for the first tackle as for the second tackle that was a yellow card as well! The ref has not got the benefit of slo-mo or pictures to aid his decision IMO he correctly booked him for the first tackle.

I like Forsyth and I cannot wait for Mcginn to be fit again he may be the missing link but he has been out for almost a year so we cannot expect miracles when he comes back into the squad for match days. I sincerely hope he comes back with all guns blazing and terrifies the opposition with his undoubted skill!

McGinn took a long time to get up to speed when he first came here. I fear it'll be a similar story coming back from his injury.

He has the skill and mental toughness to do it though.

Fingers crossed he will be up for the task ahead of him, hopefully the Medical team have got him in tip top condition ahead of the vigours of the rest of this campaign! I look forward to seeing him back in the team as soon as he is fit enough to do so.

As long as we have Hogg and Bauben fit, I don't think there is a need to rush McGinn back. He can start on the bench and be eased back to first team duties, with the odd 20 and 30 mins here and there. What we don't want is for him to pick up niggly injuries by being rushed back too soon, and never fully recovering!

Personally, I think we need two new wingers, 1 to start on the left, and one for competition for Yeates!

McGinn is unlikely to play in the 1st team at all this season - if he continues to recover as he is then he may get some game time if we are safe, during the last 3 games of the season. At present he is only fitfully training with the 1st team so way off being ready.

Free Agent goalkeeper Richard Kingson is on trial at Watford. I saw him at London Colney and recognised his car from when he was at Blackpool (I used to live in Lytham St Anne's this time last year). Either that or he's training with Arsenal.

Hearts Midfielder Mehdi Taouil is entering talks with Watford. The Moroccan is frustrated by the delay in being paid and is looking at options elsewhere.

Okay, so we are now well into the second half of this month's January Transfer window and Jack Sullivan, David Sullivans son, confirmed that two bids have gone in for two strikers. One bid of £5m and the other £3.5m. Adzman alerted to this and confirmed that the players in question were Rhodes (£5m) and Sordell (£3.5m). Both players I think would do an excellent job in ensuring a top two status this year. Celik's agent is currently in the process of dealing with his move to a club this window, though as a free agent, it isn't something that has to be rushed. We still remain interested in Reading wide man Kebe who is keen to join us but the club won't sanction a move whatsoever, which I'm also led to believe will be the same with Huddersfield striker Jordan Rhodes. Reports suggesting Huddersfield want near the £8m mark is ridiculous for a player who has only proven his trade in League One. Yes I think he would be a great signing but there are other options out there I think that are just as good who will come cheaper. These players (perhaps being Bristol City striker Nicky Maynard, Watford's Sordell and Burnley striker Jay Rodriguez) each know where the goal is and have proved themselves at this level. Others will argue that Baldock managed the step up for us so why won't Rhodes? It is a very fair point but Baldock is a success story. Would Rhodes be the same? £5m for a league one player is a lot of money but I still don't see Huddersfield negotiating…The only way we could perhaps tempt Huddersfield would be a £5m offer + Piq and Sears which I personally think is a great offer though difficult to get each to agree terms.

Shamrock Rovers want Watford goalkeeper Rene Gilmartin.

Gilmartin would probably drop the pen whilst trying to sign the contract.

WATFORD TO RE-SIGN TOMMY SMITH FROM QPR

    SOURCE- SQUEAKYBUMTIME.COM

Would love this to happen, wages will be an issue though! Not sure why he'd pay the 5k himself though, surely just ask QPR to stop paying him and then Watford give him 5k a week.
