I've been a Ciy fan for around 4-5 years or so (I took me until around 2005 before I heard about Hull for the first time actually:redface:)
Anyway! I have got many great memories just during this period, and down below you can find my All Star-Team for the period 2007-2012.
All players have been picked based on their top level and it's personal choices, so don't cry! It was impossible (more or less) for me to watch any games from the legendary 2007-2008-season, which may effect some picks.

Basso
Rosenior, Turner, Chester, Ricketts (Not sure of Sam, but hey, good option going forward)
Geovanni, Koren, McKenna, Stewart (Really not sure of McKenna, Ashbee in his prime is ofc an option)
Fryatt, King

Might be better with 4-5-1 and another defence minded central midfielder though, considering the attacking minded midfield otherwise.

Bench

Myhill, Ayala, Dawson, Mendy (Mostly because he can cover both defence/midfield wing, and had some class when he wanted to), Bullard (yes, he's a ****, but he can play ball), Ashbee, Campbell

1: How good is the above team?
2: How right/wrong am I?

Based on their peak you've got to have Deano and Campbell up front. I like your defence though.

Over the same period I'd go for.

Mannone
Rosenior, Turner, Chester, Ricketts
Stewart, Ashbee, Koren, Elliott
Campbell, Deano

Subs: Myhill, Hobbs, Dudgeon, McKenna, Marney (07-08), Garcia (07/08), King

There are players like JVoH, Altidore, Bullard etc. who were good players but never really filled their potential with us or the team was doing too poorly at the time to remember them that fondly. I've gone for players from successful teams hence the several 07/08 inclusions and current defenders.

Well, that's embarrasing, forgot about Deano.

Not very happy with Fryatt at the top at the same time, but he's good...when he's good.

Happy New Year Febbos, not seen you on here for a while. My favourite City eleven, based on just the players I have seen would be:
1.Tony Norman
2.Rosy. 3.Jobbo. 4.Turner. 5. Daws
6.Stewart. 7.Parker. 8. Windass. 9. Okocha
10. Payton. 11. Campbell

Hi there Nick!

I am lurking in the shadows mostly. Haven't have the "energy" to bother with the slight derails on here lately :)

How come you have Deano as Central Midfield btw? And who is Jobbo? :)

Deano slightly out of position admittedly! Jobbo is Richard Jobson, the classiest defender City have ever had, he made England squads after he left us but as far as I know only ever won a 'B' cap

Would put Campbell and Deano in for Fryatt and King

He's also high up in the PFA, so it's best to get on the good side of him. :emoticon-0110-tongu

Hard to pick but here goes -

Norman
Rosenior Jobson Turner Dawson
Marwood Ash Parker Elliott
Edwards Deano

Subs -
Myhill
Barmby
Payton
Whitehurst
Dyer
Brabin
Whittle

Looking at DJ's team think it would be a close call for me between Elliott and Campbell, just think Elliott never did it at Championship level arguably apart from that QPR game puts me off him, and even then think he might have been a sub that game but might be wrong on that

Stephen Hunt was great for us (unless you ask our TWS fan TWF), Henrik Pederson also worthy of a mention I think here as did great things in his few appearances in the promo season

Myhill, Rosenior, Turner, Chester, Dawson, Barmby, Ashbee, Koren, Elliott, Windass, Burgess.

Musslewhite, Whittle, Boateng, Stewart, Allsopp

Some hard choices, not easy making this team! Missing out the likes of Delaney, Hunt, Mouyokolo, Geo, Parkin, Brabin, Eyre, John Anderson, Ryan France.

Tony Norman
L. Rosenior – M. Turner – J. Chester – A. Dawson
B. Marwood - G. Roberts – R. Koren – S. Elliot
K. Wagstaff – S. Pearson

from what I've seen in my lifetime..
as a 4-4-2

Norman
Rosenior Turner Chester Dyer
Stewart Ashbee Geovanni Hunt
Windass Payton

subs: Mannone, Gerrard, Dawson, Barmby, Elliot, Koren, Whitehurst

Campbell Vennegoor of Hessleink
Elliott Ashbee Green Garcia
Dawson Turner Delaney Ricketts
Myhill

I do realise on the face of it seems ridiculous.
