I dont see how anyone can be dissapointed by signing a spanish u21 international, even be it on loan? <laugh>

At the end of the day, he doesn't need to turn out to be another Lallana. As long as he's better than Holmes, he'll be an improvement to the squad.

I'm a bit sceptical...although he must be quality playing for spurs in Europe this season and coming through Barca's youth system etc., we clearly have no chance of signing him permamantly cos Spurs have literally only just signed him permanantly off Juve, so he'll be back at Spurs next season and we'll never hear from him again...but if he gets us promoted who cares ;)

The only annoying thing is that in all probability if hes a great success we wont be able to keep hold of him, however it gives us the chance to watch an exciting player the calibre of whom we would struggle to attract otherwise and he may well be the final peice of the jigsaw for promotion this year!

Seems like he's a winger/attacking mid.

Position we needed but would prefer a proven winger in England like Matt Phillips.

Hooper next and that will do <ok>

;)

Hello, Saints fans.
Just thought I'd offer my opinion of him.

From the little chance that he's had for us so far, he's looked pretty decent.
Positive, skilful, not afraid to have a shot and fairly versatile.
He's probably best in a similar role to van der Vaart, but he looks comfortable on the wing, too.

Good luck with him and with the promotion push.

he seems to have a lot of potential, hopefully he can put it to use

Got to say though not very pleased - exciting prospect but I'm not a fan of loans that won't turn permanent.

Nothing wrong with that at all. I can completely understand people being sceptical. It's people who are disappointed or against it that I don't get.

A Spanish U21 international who has already played for Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur?!

How on Earth can you be underwhelmed?

Great signing, hopefully the first of three this week (Lee being the second).

Ideal and great signing. Covers the advanced positions, meaning we don't need to sign another striker. Plus there's no pressure on him to succeed to get a permanent deal, so he can play with natural freedom and express himself through his fabulous technique.

Thanks saggy face! (genuinely for once).

There's no reason he won't at least stay on loan next season as well. It'll be hard breaking into the Spurs team for a while.

Let's say he keeps improving with us and then Spurs say "We'll have him back now" - left with a big gap in the team to fill.
