I do rate him but no where near best CH in the league, for me hes a top 4-6 type defender, would fit in perfect at Arsenal but his distribution isnt the best. Vidic/Vermaelen stand out for me.

When you posted murray, my first thought was he is exactly what Arsenal need.

I would love to see him here but can't see it happening.

It's not just his ability I rate Yogi but his total committment to the cause. That's what makes him stand out imo.

Totally agree with u there mate his comittment to the cause cant be questioned, was at the Blackburn game and he was absolutely immense. Just think Vidic especially is equally as good in the leadership/comittment/heading side of the game but better with the ball.

Vidic is a hell of a player but the last two seasons have been injury ravaged for him.

When Blackburn get attacking set pieces, Samba is ****ing class, not a better defender in England for me like.

Depends what you mean by commitment to the cause, on the pitch cant really disagree, but didnt he want out last January, and they wouldnt let him go, and now he wants out this January when the chips are down again for his club, I know loyalty goes out the window with Football players, and its to be expected, but he has wanted out for a year (not sure why he didnt leave in the summer though).

Suppose its just a shame the rest of the team is **** around him, letting in 44 goals in 21 matches is pretty dire.

Steve, I would love the lad to come to Sunderland, as he has said himself, he's had opportunities to leave but has stayed.

If I could pick one player to sign, he'd be the one.

Ru kidding?! Hes been found out recently, the trick is coax him in 2slowly backing in while focusing only on the ball, then flap ur arms about and appeal to the ref. Worked for us!

Got to say if he wants to move to a bigger club and QPR are in for him, then I think many teams including Sunderland should be looking at him.

According to the transfer update page on Sky Sports website, its odds on for him to go to QPR, think the fact Hughes is manager there might explain that one.

reckon he'll go to a bigger club than the likes of us if he leaves.

if he goes to qpr it has very little to do with sparky i reckon, and more to do with the bumper paycheck he will get.

QPR?! are you ****ting me. going from one relegation-threatened club to another? Samba is a beast and he's top class...! Should be playing for a side either in Europe, or with a chance of Europe. It's the least he deserves. Arsenal is a great shout... he's just what they've needed for a few seasons now. Him and Vermaelen at CB should sort them out.

Would love him here though, agree Billy, if I could pick one defender this window it would be him.
