Yeah because I think Bullard has the quality to play in the Premier League, I'm not sure some of these other signings do. The squad we're building has the quality to be a top half Championship team, Bullard is one of the stand out players in the Championship and it makes no sense to pay for him to play for somebody else.

Bullard indeed does have the quality unfortunately not the body to play flat out in the prem. We are however a championship team and therefore need solid championship players to take us out of this league.

However if you feel, and you are entitled to you opinion that 1 Bullard is worth 3 other players then I will bow down to you superior accountancy skills.

P.S I believe you are studying some form of mathematics and University and thus this news makes me shudder for the future of our countries budgeting.

ok his last post at least made more sense re Bullard.

to counter his pro-Jimmy slant... I don't think Jimmy was ever part of NP's long-term masterplan & as good as he can be he doesn't provide value for money and isn't motivated to play for HCAFC anymore.

Yes it does. It make financial sense for what we have employed in return for the saving. We technically now have 3 players for 45K a week instead of 1.

Yes, but they're not as good, quality not quantity will get us out of this division. I know I'm yet to be swept up on this wave of enthusiasm surrounding our relatively young squad, but young doesn't always equal good and I just think it'd be better off with Bullard as part of it.

To my mind it was downhill from when we tried to palm him off on Celtic, since then neither his heart nor his head have been in it for city. For whatever reasons he wasn't wanted here, and we've moved on. Now he's doing well, and i would love to see him playing for us, because he is a quality player, however i've accepted it now, and it's really great to see him doing well at Ipswich and hopefully moving on aswell.

Just speaking hypothetically, if during the summer nobody comes in for him and he has two years left on his contract with us, would you not play him?

Just watched Bullard's goals on the iplayer, the first strike was superb.

It can only increase his value and City's chance of removing him from the wage bill.

for the attention of twf:

You probably are not aware but Lammie has got good contacts at the KC and does get some very useful snippets of info. You would do well to take note of what he says because it is all sensible.

When I spoke to Nigel at the start of the season, he said he came here on the clear understanding that getting Jimmy of the wage bill was the club's No.1 priority. With that in mind, there was no point in building a team around a player he knew we were trying to offload, so he was better off not involving him in his plans.

That situation might have changed when our finances were sorted, but by then Jimmy had been taking the piss with his off-field antics and the management didn't want him around the squad. It's all history now, he's obviously happier at Ipswich and one way or another he should be off the books in the summer and the debate will finally be over.

Hi Original - LeeTiger here - used to be called philtigerfeet lol Only joking about the Gaddaffi thing but everybody has an opinion - a few posters on 606 really get under my skin at times as they aim to shoot you down in flames as soon as your opinion is aired.

All im saying is i dont agree with TWF also but it was interesting all the same and certainly got you all rattled on here lol interesting.

Now your the moderator you have to show a fair and transparent view amongst the debaters - TWF wasnt insulting anyone (Until he himself was insulted numerous times) - just an aggrevating point of view as Pearson is excellent - just say your bit and move on lol
We are in a democracy arent we, not a dictatorship? You cant just block someone because they are annoying you or others : )

Looks like your doing a good job on here also! Not like you to lose your cool lol

Welcome to the forum mate, the thing with this TWF is that he's spoiling a lot of threads and making them debates about him, fair play to him he's getting the attention he obviously wants, but at a cost to the forum. I wouldn't go as far as Midlands and say I want to leave but I think we should have a vote as to whether we want him to keep wumming on threads or not-if the majority don't mind I'd go along with it, but if not I think he should be banned, like he has been from other forums.

As TWF has acknowledged that some of his posts have resulted in threads degenerating into slanging mates, which he says was never his intention, I am hopeful that this will not be the case in the future, so I don't think any such vote is necessary.

I know what you mean Bullard is a class player but i don't think it could be risked, we got in some good players who are not injury prone because he left. Also as mentioned on another thread Ipswich have the chance to take oints of teams that are near us and if Jimmy is helping do that so be it

At least a vote could be an option in the future if he keeps up the trolling, I've not seen anything positive from him on the board ever. Good times to be a City fan again with or without this numpties comments.

The reason I would have left is because I get fed up traipsing through post after post of twf vs everyone on all the decent threads with the best talking points. I hope he changes his tone as there's definitely a good poster in there somewhere.

I think Bullard is better off elsewhere for now, and when - if he returns, his buddies will have left, hopefully the management will iron out the old creases and his time away will mean he can get his head down and give his best for us again, if we don't manage to offload him in the summer.

Did anyone else think Bullard , his fat dad and cling on mates came across as complete tits ?

Talk about laughing at **** jokes in a ridiculously loud manner.

Typical Essex wide boy ****ers.

Is every thread a have a go at TWF thread?

Would Bullard have delivered for us what he did for Ipswich? I bow to NP that he had good reason for not trusting JRB with a place in the starting 11 towards the end of his last stint with us. Maybe this spell with the Tractor Boys will give him back something that was missing and then, who knows?
