No need for the top up. I remember that video well. However I remember the questioning, the answer that Southampton aren't for sale and that if they were new backers would be ready straight away.

That is not the same as I am saying. Our owners are unlikely to (although they may) put more money in if needed. Celtic's undoubtedly will if they feel it is necessary so whilst we are not for sale and whilst we will have backers if we are ever put up for sale that means our future is safe whereas Celtic have owners that want to own the club, fans, people who are willing to put more in.

I'm just talking about some people on these threads who have said Celtic are skint and would snap our hands off for 6m which isn't true. SPL teams may well be poor, Rangers may well be in a right state however Celtic aren't and 6m is small change to their board.

For them to accept an offer for Hooper (even 10m) would be like us accepting an offer for Lambert or Lallana. Very much a case of 'only if we feel we could get as good or better with that money'. That meaning if 10m is bid then the board 'may' decide that you can get an equal standard player plus another player for that money.

Could go on forever but my comments are more aimed at those that say Saints don't need the money yet think Celtic do.
