I agree with that pricing (but can't blame the club for the cheeky fiver on the adult tickets). But I'd say that on the assumption of having my normal seat, and as normal a day as can be expected with an extra 5,000 people going into and out of the stadium.

As for punishing the children, you're only punishing them if they're paying for it, or if they're not going as a direct result of the price. Making the parents pay more for a kids ticket for what they fear will be a bad experience probably would have resulted in kids missing out.

But dont forget the family end was moved in the first place from the lower rous to the vr end which was all agree is silly. I do agree It's unfair on some, but this is the fairest option IMO. Otherwise the season ticket holders loose out which would piss everyone off. I'm sure you included.

some 14 or 15 year olds might be paying for themselves, and will be paying the extra £5. That doesn't seem fair. A lot of under 16s go on their own, with their mates..i'm sure they'd prefer to pay £5 than £10.

Yep, i moved to the Rookery when i was kicked out of the Lower Rous. How do the season ticket holders lose out if the kids are charged the same from both ends?

Come, come Dan - your dad pays for a season ticket, not the actual seat. That ticket entitles you to sit on that seat during all of the League matches only - no more, no less - so you are getting your moneys worth. In fact, I'd say you're getting more than your moneys worth as your postings on here suggest that you regularly utilise two seats during home matches ;)

And ST holders do get perks, one of them being the right to first bite of the cherry when it comes to buying cup tickets. Those who only go because it's a big match have to wait until all ST holders have been accommodated and are not guaranteed a ticket. Even then, and I may be wrong here, they are behind those in the queue who have a ticket purchasing history?

I used to be a ST holder a long time ago - even though I lived in Oz - but hardly ever used it myself (obviously). I only kept it on in case I needed tickets for a 'big' match - the rest of the time, friends who were looking after it for me were welcome to use themselves or give tickets to 'deserving cases' (old folks home residents etc). You can guess what happened the season I let it lapse - 1983/84 :(

Back in my mid-teens I'd have looked at that as thirty fewer cigarettes.

I'm not suggesting that the average 14 year old smokes nowadays (besides, for £5 you'd only get ten cigarettes and a few bulky coins), but any kid that goes to football on a regular basis and pays for themselves has the ability to get hold of that sort of money, recession or not.

Surprised and slightly annoyed that the police okayed that particular one.

Still, at least we've got the TV money in the bag.

Next year they should just move all season ticket holders in the VR end to somewhere else.....and offer away teams the whole end if they can bring enough fans.

Well darn it! Friday is the worst day, apart from Sunday, which i also didn't want! lol...very bad news, but with the club getting £123,000 for being on the telly, we can't complain i guess..though i will...

    dilemma time!

If we should get through to the next round I vote for playing it on a Monday at 3.30 in the morning on Lundy Island. I feel sure that would suit everybody...

Lundy on a Monday - sounds very much like a 'translational tautology', if there is such a thing. ;)
