Not the finished article, and wish we were getting our hands on a winger who could come into the XI right away, BUT, getting some promising young English talent is always good too!

Thats good. I hope we get him as long as he doesn't cost too much.

If he sorts out his attitude he will be fantastic.

    A big 'if' though.

If £1m is our bid then think we've got him - it's what #MUFC value him at according to top radio journalist in North West. More soon. #NUFC

I'm guessing if we get him he's Guthrie's long term replacement. No contract signed yet and he's too similar to Cabaye.

Could be the next big thing in England, or just another forgotten 'could have been', think he could do well here, might make pals with some of the reserve lads and settle down, i wouldnt mind us take a punt on him, risk is outweighed by potential in my view.

Hmmmmmm I am not sure. He is an amazing talent (moreso than Ranger by miles) but he is also more trouble than our resident "g"

From what I hear he is too big for his boots already, without someone paying £1m for him. Will he expect to play straight away?

Well, every club needs one dick head. Barton's gone and I'd much rather it be this guy than Ranger! <diva>

Young English Ben Arfa, for 1 mill... this would be a good deal i think... i only recently heard of him and i knew he was a bit of a dickhead and honestly didnt want him, but ive seen some clips of him and hes got some good talent for his age. could be a good investment. would have Ben Arfa to learn from and the good team spirit could possibly help him sort himself out and get his arse in gear to get to training.

I've not even heard of this kid before today but sounds like a quality player. Im sure MA and AP will let him know he cant throw his toys out of the pram or be late to training and get away with it at this club.

Typical Ashley signing. Damaged goods on the cheap, big gamble but big return if he fulfills his potential.

The lad's a ****ing knacker by all accounts.

If the local Manchester lad can't focus on playing for arguably the biggest club in the world under one of the greatest managers of all time what chance do we have in getting him on the straight and narrow? I guess we think getting him away from Manchester will help, but Newcastle is hardly outer *****lia. Plenty of distractions and more than likely his entourage comes with him.

Anyway, forget Gibson. The sadness for #mufc is Ravel Morrison. Most naturally gifted kid Ive seen since Rooney. But lacks dedication #waste

I first saw Ravel Morrison play behind closed doors at Carrington 5 years ago. Clearly special. Balance, vision, touch. But wrong attitude

Arsenal and City are supposedly chasing this guy, clearly has talent in abundance.

I honestly think the youth at man united don't respect fergie any more, i think he is going a bit soft now.. he doesnt seem as animated or angry anymore.. in interviews hes always calm nomatter how **** they have just played.

his players used to be fearful of putting in a crap performance, look at them now.

also the talk is hes looking for a fresh start and wants to get back on track.

Jermaine Pennant V2.0. i'm lead to believe. Huge potential, but it is just that potential!

Mind you if he has the impact of a winger we signed from them for £1M almost 15 years ago he'll be ok!! If i recall he also had a bit of attitude about him!

Worth a punt for 1 mill, just tell him that every time he misses a training session for no reason he doesnt get his pay for that week <ok>
