Errrr - Thats nice thank you, you missed out kind, caring, beautiful, desirable, etc, hahaha! I was only joking!
#290 Sarge - why do you follow Yorkshire cricket?
My father was born in Yorkshire, he only lived there for a few years but we still have family up there, and my Dad has been a Yorkshire fan for a long time, and he passed it down to me.
Humberside
#272 Jub - you are not the only female on this board!Smoggie, wow I never knewHey there!
So what took him down to Staffordshire then?
I was born in Yorkshire but moved down to Warwickshire when I was a baby as my Dad was relocated, then spent twenty four years in Staffordshire before moving back to the north east when my husband was relocated.
We lived in Trentham for a while, so my Dad bought a season ticket and took me and my sister to the occasional game, and once I had my own car, I became a season ticket holder myself.
Lived in Stone for a short time!
Sarge,
You know my lack of cricket knowledge.. Are we 'winning' - ?![]()
After losing to Ireland the other day, we didn't look like winning today but we won another nail biter against the Tim Henman of cricket, South Africa, i.e. they're chokers. We're still in the group stage, we've played 4, won 2, lost 1 and tied 1, so 5 points and 2nd in the table, the top 4 go through, so we're looking ok. We've got 2 games left, 1 more win will be enough for Quarter-Final spot. What i'm gutted about is that one of our best players, Kevin Pietersen, is going home with a hernia injury. Ironically though, one of our best players, Eoin Morgan, was ruled out for the tournament due to injury, could now be called up apparently as he's responding well to treatment, so here's hoping.![]()
But heres hoping
Losing to bloody IRELAND has got to be a confidence knockBut heres hoping
