little booster here, looking at the stats we've had a few away wins down the years at the City Ground..

1975/6 2-1 second division
1972/3 2-1 second division
1954/5 1-0 second division

I'm sticking my neck out 1-0 City (Fryatt)

<cheers>

Good call tigercity, though even when we went into the last ten minutes, I still thought my draw prediction would turn out to accurate.

I hate it when we try to defend a 1-0.

As much as when we try to defend a 0-0, or even a 0-1?

I'd like to see us go for a second, rather than defending a single goal, as we invite too much mush pressure, Taylor did it almost every game, though he didn't do it quite as well as Pearson. Defending a 0-0 depends who you're up against, if it's against Man United to try and secure a home FA Cup replay, then it's fine, for most games it isn't(but then we don't do it now we have decent players, so it's a non issue).

I agree entirely, but you can't argue that we play very defensively, it comes across, to me at least, that Pearson has the "You start with a point, two more is a bonus" attitude.

So how does playing 4-3-3 mean we are playing for a point?

Whether the system works or not is a different question but these last two games anyone who says Pearson is trying to defend should compare it to the previous systems we have played this year and see that it is far more attacking. We have just played two of the best teams in this division and got three points that is a great return!

I don't know about today, but last week it looked more 4-5-1 than 4-3-3.
