If Gerrard was taking the goal kicks from the start, it might have been in order not to risk Mannone's injury coming back in the first week or two.

I think Mannone tweaked something in the second half, so was pretty unfortunate. The thing with Oxley is how will we ever know if he is ready unless he is given a chance? Someone, somewhere needs to give him one is it about time that we gave him a chance?
