Very rare for the game to be on TV if the higher ranked team are at home. ITV will take Liverpool vs. Man United. Pretty sure someone will snap up Brighton or Wrexham vs. Newcastle. QPR or MK Dons vs. Chelsea is likely to be picked too. Then they'll either go for Arsenal vs. Villa (because ITV don't get many "PL" games) or Watford/Spurs or Derby/Stoke.
Hmmm didnt know sky had dumped showing the F.A cup, shows how much it really is thought of amongst the big boys i guess.
Any time soon... I imagine ITV and ESPN are still in talks over which games are to be shown. Unfortunately we aren't an attractive side in paper for TV - see the lack of live league games on Sky this season (and even the minimal amount of contracted games in PL seasons). I doubt we will be shown unless we are ESPN's fifth wildcard pick if they suspect an upset, this will undoubtably make the game a Friday/Monday night game. It may be possible they wait for the replays before selecting?
I hope it isn't televised to be honest. Will make Crawley even more up for it if anything, to show everyone they they're a good side on the up. Not to mention the fact we never seem to perform well when on tele. I'd be happiest if we could sneak a win in a mostly unremarkable game, similar to against Ipswich. We could get Stevenage in round 5, Wrexham in round 6, Swindon in the semi-final and Notts County in the final.
If selected, both we and Crawley have to agree to being shown. I imagine the money for being shown will make up for the lack of attendance and probably lead to the two of us saying yes.
Yes but wouldn't buy that channel as it is rubbish had it on a free trail with sky and sky is way better
Depends if you want to see all the live PL games, the FA Cup, Serie A and the Bundesliga I suppose. Plus UFC. I like it.
ESPN is relatively cheap and if you want the option to watch all games, then you need ESPN in addition to Sky.
Who in their right mind would rather watch Liverpool v Man U when they could watch the Tigers V Crawley?
Not a chance in hell. BBC and SKY dont have the rights to show the FA Cup for a start. But the same applies to ITV and ESPN who do. Looking at some of the 4th round ties there are 10 at least that are ahead of our game. Now if the game was at Crawley it maybe another matter. Just saying like.,
I can't get a Sky dish so get ESPN and all the Sky Sports channels for 44quid on a Sky Go ticket, am screwed at the moment as the F1 is on Sky now so looks like I have to buy a monthly ticket forever unless I want to watch the races 6 hours after they take place with the BBC's crap commentator whoever that might be
