At least you say disagree without gunning down my opinions. I tilt my hat to you.

No chance of getting him. Man United are interested.

He is a great talent, such a natural finisher and hard worker.

Accept you were wrong you tit. How could we have done better, hmm? It's all opinion and since we haven't even seen T Lee play for us yet i suggest you keep tight lipped.

Even a proven striker like Sharp might flop with us, like he did at Sheffield United. You can never tell, therefore it's sensible to reserve judgement until he's actually kicked a ball in anger for us.

Oh, and sorry for calling you a tit. :)

The argument wasn't about who was right or wrong. It was about me not being allowed to have my own opinion. If he turns out to be a great player then fair enough I will have in deed been wrong, but it was only ever an opinion in the first place.

And that is quite alright. Apologly accepted :D

Get the impression that someone has formed their opinion on the basis that they have never heard of a player and the fact that he came from the J-League and not a major European one! You cant form an opinion when you havnt seen the lad play!

What info are people basing the opinion on that he will be immense for us? Like I said earlier, the lack of knowledge on this player works both ways...that's why I'm getting splinters in my ass sitting on this fence <laugh>

I dont think anyone has stated he is going to be immense. The only thing we have to go on is that he is an international player for a team in the top 20 in the FIFA rankings suggesting he is probably half decent.

I don't think this debate is ever going to come to a conclusion until we see him play or one of us has a distant relative who supports Hiroshima who can spread some more light on him.

Shall we put it on the back burner until then?

We could try moving it back to the topic of Jordan Rhodes and his inevitable non-transfer to us <ok>

Rhodes is gonna go for 8 million or so to a top prem club. Will be a bargain considering what we got for AOC At the same level.

As for Lee I guess Soton Saint will watch him for 1 game and if he doesn't play a blinder can boo him from there on :)

I agree with the others. I have no opinion on whether we could have done better yet because it would be impossible to have an opinion on something that I have no idea about.

I am pretty sure there are players out there much better than him. Not sure if Saints could get them though? and also Are we saying we could have done better than a £700k sigining? If so then I wouldn't read much into transfer fees. Lee could turn out to be as good if not better than Rhodes :)

Can I ask a question on Rhodes?

How many games has he played in and how many games has he scored in? Meaning if he has hit so many hat-tricks does that mean he has only scored in say....6 of 26 appearances? And if so is that any sign of his mental attitude? Meaning could he be one who is up for it some games and not so for many others?
