Won't know till I see him play. I think that the money we can afford will not get us players that all the other teams want. We may hate it, but we do not have the charisma of Spurs or even, dare I say it, West Ham. We are therefore looking at hunting down players that others have missed and building a team of near equals rather than a few star names. I think we will have the last laugh.

The argument works both ways. Yeah he may not be in a position to say he's not gonna do well here, but at the same time you aren't in a position to say he'll be a hit, and to take that sort of position on sotonsaint shows a sense of delusion and naivety.

There is nothing wrong with stating your opinion. I personally don't agree with it though, not sure how you can or can't be convinced with someone who has never played for us. We are signing an international player here.
