............................. and the booze is CHEAP! I'm on my way!

Couldn't stand Vuvu-****ing-Zelas myself! Didn't know what the hell it was when I first heard them, sounded like a swarm of wasps.

See I know a few Afrikaans lads who came over a couple of years ago because of how bad it was getting round their areas, couldn't get their visas renewed so had to move back.
A few of my Dad's work colleagues in Nigeria have moved back over to the UK or even to Oz as well from South Africa as they'd been robbed a few times even with armed guards, dogs and their own electric fenced off compound.
Stories like that have put me off, unless I was staying with the likes of the Afrikaans lads and could speak the language myself!

Hardly any Afrikaans (Horrible rude bastards) around my area, mainly in the other cities to be honest. The accent round here is kinda like an OZ/SA mix, very much a surfy/toursity town. Its weird here, have been here 3 years and have seen NO crime, honestly. Yes, you hear about it, but I felt more scared living in Middlesbrough when i was there for a bit! If you have common sense you're fine, its no better in the UK at the minute and i know where i'd rather be!!! (If only i could transport St James's here!)

My towns a bit of a bubble as there is a lot of rich people (unfortunately i'm not one of them) and its like a nice holiday destination. If i lived in Joburg it may be a different story but Mr, Mrs and Junior ArfaLobbon are VERY happy in the sun every day!

Was thinking about SA for a holiday this year but have just bought a new house so umming and aahing but cheap booze and good golf could swing it with the missus! Been to Cuba & Jamaica, Cuba was beautiful and totally safe, even wandering round Havana at night, Jamaica on the other hand is scarey as **** after dark, would recommend or hurry back myself.

You can take the boy out of Newcastle but you can't take SJP out of Newcastle.

Bloody hell! I didn't realise all this had been going on. I read the first few replies when Tash created this thread and assumed that all the other replies were about his apology.

A good read though I must say :)

I work right next to the Mount Edgecombe golf estate, check it out, very nice course built on a posh housing estate, bucks running about, vervit monkeys nicking golf balls etc haha Seriously, you would have blast if you came here Alfie. And like i say, Booze and restaurants, VERY cheap. best steaks in the world for a quarter of the price of back home.

Agent Bruce, Spot on. Me and my boy wear our shirts and drape our flags out on every matchday (we get them all on TV for free most of the time, Home and Away!), even bought some bovril to get the smell! haha

RBT - Please stop, you're embarrassing yourself. What you're saying isn't clever or funny; just leave, create a new alias, come back in a week and see if you contain your inner anger.

OT - I can see why you're offended but come on, the guy is 18 and an idiot. You shouldn't be affected or insulted by anything anyone says, let alone some vapid teenager on the internet. Just ignore it and don't get involved. From reading your posts over the past few months (and this is the only thing to go on) you're a funny and bright guy, don't lower yourself.

Will deffo have to look into it, also fancy a tour round the Winelands, that's an airplane flight away tho right?
My ex brother in law does similar with shirts and flags on match day in Los Angeles, whenever we used to go and visit we always had to take Cadburys Dairy milk, Walkers crisps, marmite etc for them

Can't get Bovril in any of the shops near me for some reason, can get Marmite though.

Often get a cup of Bovril at SJP during the cold spells.

There is an English emporium thats just opened in the village - all the chocs, crisps, pot noodles and all that Jazz from the UK, its like heaven!!! Winelands is only a short flight and all the Safari's etc are in my area in a 2-3-4 hour radius. Let me know if you ever come down.

My mum arrives from England tomorrow during the Everton match( how selfish!) so i'm sending Mrs Arfa Lobbon to pick her up as me and the Junior are watching the game at OUR St James's LOL

I'll wave to you Arfa, I'll be the one with the B&W top on. I might be seen shaking my fist at Jonas for not waving to Tash too!

Not too sure but I think maybe Tash actually sits quite close to me. Asked him once but he didn't reply.

    Don't know why!

Could replace "Where's Chip?" banners with "Where's Tash?" and get on Soccer Saturday but I fear he may explode.

See the Afrikaans people I've met over my life (one of my geography teachers at school was one & young, fresh out of uni, blonde and female - but that's a different story!) have been some of the kindest and friendly people you'd meet - the two lads to say they were same age as me had impeccable manners, generous (even if they were skint they'd still offer to buy you a pint and mean it) and just all round nice lads, I was gutted they couldn't get their Visas renewed!
Makes a refreshing change to some of my English mates!

This thread is going off topic; not enough rage, whiney self importance and terrorists.
