    If we assumed that our teams both continue to get better and better.... It's not beyond the realms of possibility that, if saggy chops stays at Spurs... One of us may lose a manager in the summer after Fabio steps down.

    Thoughts?

    Saggy chops is nailed on IMO, depending on his health of course.
    The FA don't like MON, he's just to quirky for them.
    The simerlarities between MON and Clough just keep getting better. Thankfully.

    It can't be O'Neill... Everyone is currently on the "International managers don't understand the English game" mantra. Only English will do.

    Then, when England amazingly serve up the same crap, it's back to "Well we can only compete on an international level if we have someone experienced in the ways of the <insert world football's leading nationality> game, we need a non-English manager!"... So we hire a foriegn chap.

    Then, when amazingly we end up with the same festering crap football, everyone immediately reverts to the fact "Johnny foreigner doesn't understand our game... English manager in!!!"...

    Repeat until we are dead and 1966 isn't even a memory passed down to the next generation...

    Pardew would be their ideal choice. They like a yes man at the FA. Just like fat Mike.

    It would push Hodgson over the edge; he's already walking a fine mental line during games;

    - Face rubbing
    - Head banging

    God knows what he'd be up to in the England hot seat

    He's going to be locked up for tax evasion (allegedly) before too long, the insiders in the game know it.

    Hodgson's still my call. He's a defensive manager, for sure, but look at his record with Switzerland and Finland.

    Don't think O'Neill has any intention or expectation to manage England right now, be a bit soon after taking over as Sunderland manager. Pardew possible though think it will be Harry, as I think we will take it offered failing that they'll go for Hodgson.

    Pardew would go the same way as McClaren

    he doesn't have the profile to be a successful manager, the fans would just be waiting for him to trip up and to get on his back.

    The England managers job is one of the best managerial jobs in the football world and should go to a world class manager English or not
