Not sticking up for Bruce here but a new manager can work wonders.

Bruce got 9 points from his first 5 games in charge, seems supporters have short memories though.

Far more eloquent also. Plays the media beautifully from what I've seen.

Years ago it used to be said that Sunderland supporters didnt just want to see their team win...They wanted to see the opposition hammered into the ground....killed... and the nails hammered into the coffin of the teams theyd just demolished with big hammers used by the riverters on the Wear...Teams were always called "Mighty" Sunderland...Its where the origin of the Roker Roar came from.....Outrage that somebody else dared step onto our hallowed turf......little bits of stuff now coming out are just demonstrations of whats been missing...its called passion
Looks to me as though a bit of its come back...as if woken from a deep sleep....You`re right I think its right we should enjoy the win...Its also natural to lash out metaphorically in a moment of extacy at the perceived reasons of its absence .....Many folk will tell you of the raw Roker Roar....miss Roker Park.....its not about Bruce.....its about the absence of the chance to have an open throat roaring to finish off the opposition who dare set foot on our ground.....
God its great to win again properly..........

Wasnt it Bruce that was at the helm when we beat Man City 1-0 in the 90th minute last season 29th August 2010 with a Bent Pen.

    Flair play to BOTH lads.

Neither has tried any less or more to win than the other.

One might appear to have more tactical nous but leave SB alone or has all the New Year’s goodwill now gone. <peacedove>

I was a Steve Bruce supporter right up until the last game when I just could not understand his subsitutions. With Martin O'Neill I just feel we have a plan B.

I am not trying to start off another Bruce hate campaign - more stating the obvious

Bruce didn't do anything on a match day all his good work was done in the transfer market.

Fair play to MON as it worked but who in their right mind would have said.

    Gardner RB
    Killgallon CB

Elmo coming on as a sub

    would beat Man City

If Bruce had done that, he would have got lambasted (i know with injuries we dont have much else, but just saying if it was Bruce he would have got lambasted on here) as its MON he is somekind of god.

I have nothing against MON, I think he will be great for us, but putting Bruce down even more just pisses me off a bit lol hes gone, not everything was his fault but he has gone so meh.
