Davis - 8 MOTM superb in goal. Did nothing wrong.
Richardson - 6 - Wasn't outstanding and was tested a fair bit by the wingers.
Martin - 7 - looked solid after being called up to the starting line up.
Hooiveld - 7 - worked well with Martin.
    Fox - 6 - same us Richardson
    Cork - 6 - wasn't outstanding but did a job I guess.
Schneiderlin - 7.5 - thought he played really well again. Got some good tackles and passes in.
Lallana - 5 - Looked some what out of sorts compared to his high standards of football.
De Ridder - 6 - looked promising in moments but let down by some bad ones.
Guly - 5 - Wasn't really that great to be honest (cue slating)
Lambert - 7 - won almost every header/arial challenge and worked hard.

    Subs: didn't really do much.

Ref: the rating is so low that the number doesn't exist.

Thanks in advance for your criticism.

From the replay of the goal it looked like it was Davis' fault for spilling the original shot back into the "danger zone", made a great follow up save though, but the ball should never of been there in the first place.

Davis- 6 - Made some outstanding saves but cost us the game by his inability to push a ball out for a corner instead of straight in front of him or catch the ball.
Richardson - 7 - Not his best game but still pretty decent
Martin- 6 - Looked nervy and made a few poor clearances but good in the air
Hoiveld- 7 - Very solid as usual
Fox - 5 - Poor crossing and gave the ball away far too often
Lallana - 5 - Nowhere near his usual self
Cork - 6 - Looked ok but a few sloppy touches and passes
Schneiderlin - 7 - Good game, really got stuck in with the tackles but shame he misses the game against brighton
De Ridder - 7 - Looked our biggest threat tonight by a long way
Lambert - 7 - Worked hard and won a lot of headers despite being strangled most of the game by their defenders
    Guly - 4 - Dreadful

Ref- 0 - Absolutely shocking. Let lambert be manhandled the whole game and let them timewaste the whole second half

I'm starting to get a tad concerned about Lallana's form - he hasn't been at his best for quite a while. Ref was bloody awful. Also fuming at some of the Saints fans who decided to boo at the end. If it was aimed at the referee then fair enough but I reckon it was aimed at the team as well which is a complete disgrace. We have had an unbelievable season so far.

Davis - 6 - played ok , shouldn't have parried the ball straight forward for their goal tho, made up for it with a good second save.
Richardson -6- didn't do alot, but was solid.
Martin -5- didn't do anything right or wrong.
Hooiveld -6- Kept getting ripped by Adomah who kept cutting inside.
Fox -5- looking for the hollywood pass again.
Cork -6- first half played ok, second half he disappeared. Bristol flooded the midfield dominating us.
    Morgan -6- same as Cork
De Ridder -7- MOTM only guy who looked like trying, put some crosses in etc.
Lallana -5- In a really bad form needs to be dropped or rested for a few. But we have no one to replace him at all.
Guly -2- Couldn't control the ball let alone score, looked awful. Also kept dropping deep which made it even worse. Only started helping the defence at 15mins to go, when he knew it was sub time hmm wonder why huh.
Lambert -6- Off game for rickie, was getting knocked and held down the whole time. Felt sorry for him.

The Ref -4- really inconsistent ****.

Real Man Of The Match-9- Adomah ripped us to ****, please Adkins sign him up

    From tonight I have realised:

    - How brilliant KD is. MOTM!
    - Fox was slow and casual!
    - Guly, same as above, incredibly inconsistent! Worst player tonight in my opinion!
    - Cork/Schneiderlin both poor!
    - De Ridder - has pace but not much else...

Bullied in midfield. Cork and Morgan were swamped and with other players like Lallana, Fox and Guly all playing crap, we were never going to get anything tonight.

I can't be bothered to do ratings for everyone but the fans (a minority but still) who booed at the end can get a big fat 0/10 for me. After the 2011 they've given us they deserve far, far better than that.

I still can't get my head round how Lallana didn't shoot first time when the ball was played into his feet inside the area at the start of the second half. That wasn't the Lallana we've seen over the last 18 months, was almost a ghost of when he first got into the side and was a bit timid. Strange and a bit worrying.

He badly needs to be dropped but we have no back up.

I thought this too. Must be a confidence issue because Lallana of last season would have buried that.

Davis - 7, good solid performance, unfortunate with the goal
Richardson - 6, played okay, good defensively
Martin - 6, looked shaky, but an overall good performance, one excellent tackle
Hooiveld - 6, fairly good performance, calm and composed as ever
Fox - 6, same as Richardson really, seemed to have a lot of the ball
Cork - 5, okay performance, seemed to miss out on a lot of the 50/50s, maybe he was a little tired
Schneiderlin - 6, similar to Cork, got a bit unlucky with some of his passes, but worked hard all game
Lallana - 4.5, not the usual Lallana, had very little influence on the game as seemed anonymous second half, marked out of the game
De Ridder - 8.5, excellent performance, didn't always have the end product but seemed to be our only attacking outlet, his pace and dribbling were exactly what we needed
Lambert - 5.5, tried hard, but was marked out by an excellent Bristol City defensive display, although they did seem to be all over him, deserved more protection from the ref.
Guly - 5, first touch was appalling, did have some good moments in the second half, but IMO the bad outweighed the good for him today

I think we were unlucky in defeat, and was not impressed with Bristol City's time wasting, but Bristol's tactics were spot on, they effectively stopped Lallana and Lambert from playing so we had to rely on De Ridder's pace. The midfield looked at little lethargic and seemed to be missing Chaplow quite a lot. Personally, I don't think Bristol City were the better side, but they worked very hard for their win, and defended very well all day.

You don't go to games so how would you know?, granted you live abroad so it's harder or impossible. I have been to all but 2 games, he is either nursing a injury or well off form. So he needs to be rested.

Kelvin Davis was alright but he needs to start pushing the ball behind for a corner instead of pushing it back into the danger area. Got away with the first one when Maynard was wrongly adjudged offside. He didn't get so lucky with the second one though.

To be fair, Morgan hit a great shot in the first half which was well saved!
