no. what i was getting at was they we not great saves. if you are on about the two from outside the area then he should have palmed them away from the goal and into a safer area and not into maenads feet. also the one where he dived across was from one of this other saves as it went straight to the bloke. he was shocking.
From which game though? He played well against Blackpool and Portsmouth(he was one of our best players).
He played ok at pompey, played well against blackpool give you that but he isn't the Lallana of old. He needs a rest everyone can see that but we have no back up.
Dropping Lala wouldn't do much for his confidence, but if there is something amiss it needs sorting out quickly, isn't he getting married soon, that could affect a blokes frame of mind!
Davies 7, Made two/three great saves, from where i was sat couldnt tell if it was his fault or the CB not reacting quickly enough for the goal Fox 6, Average at best, didnt do much, If only we could combine the best of him and Harding. Fox's left foot and Hardings ability to link up with Lallana Hooiveld - 7, Been our most consistent performer Martin - 8, Didnt notice Fonte was missing, fair play to the lad for stepping in so well Richardson - 7, Got in a few good crosses, just didnt fall for us Lallana - 5, Been very quiet as of late, is he carrying a knock? Why doesnt he shoot when he has the chance? As mentioned above i personally feel he plays well with Harding, but we would miss Fox's delivery Schniederlin - 6, Wasnt allowed time on the ball Cork - 6, Same as above De Ridder - 6, Needs to learn to cross, a vital part of a winger Guly - 5, typical performance, only reason he achieves 7/8's is because he will snatch a goal here or there Lambert - 6, was fouled out of headers, but didnt offer much else
Agreed. However, I have it on good authority that every stupid imbecilic moron who booed at the end of the match is going to be rounded up in the morning and dragged through the streets of Suothampton before being hung from the City walls.
i agree about Fox & Harding - its a problem, as Fox has the better delivery, but Harding links up better with team-mates esp. Lallana, if we could merge them and create Danny Foxing then that would be great!
Lallana was poor and shouldn't be undroppable.Don't understand people saying De Ridders crossing is poor,he put some great balls in tonight but no-one wanted to attack them! he's improving every game.
The referee was an absolute ****ing disgrace tonight. Some of the aerial challenges on rickie would have been fouls in a rugby match. The main problem tonight was our crossing. So deep every time, from everyone! Even richardson was doing it, his crosses are usually right into the mixer. I thought De Ridder was our best player, he skinned their left back every time. They just couldnt handle him. If he looked up before he crossed he would be incredible. Deano should have come on sooner in the second half. I think the loss tonight was down to poor refereeing and bad luck. But credit to City, they stopped us playing.
Just got back and my observations from the match tonight are: 1. It was like a cup game full of blood and thunder. 2. Bristol City played well, closed us down and were solid. 3. Their three central midfielders dominated/outnumbered against Cork and Schneiderlin 4. Carey got a way with a fair bit off the ball tonight 5. The weather and swirling winds led to a lot of overhit balls. 6. De Ridder was much better tonight 7. Guly is becoming a boo boy, it is utterly ridiculous there were loads of people booing him (it is getting like Puncheon). Do people forgot how well he supports Lambert, yes I know he did have some bad touches tonight but he was not the only one it is just people do not excuse him. 8. I think Hammond was missed in midfield. 9. I am disappointed how many Saints fans were so impatient and negative tonight when we have had such a good first half of the season what were they expecting. 10. I worry sometimes about Adkins decisions when we are trailing in the game, we became far less effective and I had no idea what formation we were playing at the end. 11. The ref made so many bizarre calls tonight and we also had a flag happy linesman! Overall not a great evening, however I did not think we were that bid and a lot of credit should go to the opposition. A great turn out from away and home fans, that must be about 1.5 million in gates this week!
No, your source is slightly wrong, they are actually to be hung from the Bargate with Portsmouth shirts on.
