Bit quiet on here about this match, one I am really looking forward to.
What's everyone's thoughts on it ?
I am going with a 1-1 draw, City will have the majority of possession and shots but I really think we can hold out for a draw, we are at home, we will have a bumper crowd and the O'Neill factor will all contribute to a good solid performance.
You never know, we may even nick a win.
COME ON !

I have a good feeling about this one and think we may nick it 1-0;I'm sure the crowd will lift the players.Let Sess and Wickham loose because their defenders are not the quickest in the world.

Truthfully....i think our record of not being beaten by more than a single goal is about to end.

Wonder what the odds are on 4-0 to Sunderland with vincent kompany to score an own girl first...

I dont know which brand of happy-baccy you've been on, but keep smokin kidda, that way you wont wake up and see the reality. I think most fans would settle for a point right now. But who knows we could get extremely lucky and get all three. However i doubt it will come from a penalty we dont deserve.<ok>

I'll refrain from making my no doubt incorrect prediction until I see our defense, if we start with O'Shea centre half, Elmo/Gardner right back it could be a looooooong 90mins.

Hopefully we've been watching west broms performance from last week. two banks of 4 working their arses off and looking to counter. id like to see sess out on left with bendtner and wickham up top. vaughan and catts in the middle. colback left back if Rico and bardo don't make it. Would also give Gardner a start at right back.

If we can keep them out for the first 20 minutes id give us a chance of a point. Keep them quiet and doubts might start to linger in their minds that started when they couldn't beat wba

Remember when we'd park the bus and look timid as rats in the headlights 3 season's back?

I bet you will will try and stand up to them, and have a game plan to try and win. I prefer to be beaten and us having a go at it, than trying to grind a draw. We're the team with nothing to lose here.

This is a game we cannot lose in really. No-one really expects us to have a chance but football doesnt work that way. WBA proved these City players are not invincible yet and they do have a soft underbelly in the shape of a not too quick back 4 without Richards imo.

Our mission, should we choose to accept it, is to get in their faces from the first second and make them uncomfortable. If we do a Bruce and sit back trying to soak up their incredible attacking talent, then we will get humped for sure. We must take the challenge to them because if we end up chasing the game for an equaliser then we could easily get thumped 3 or 4.

If football was so easy to predict as to say we need not turn up, then we'd all be pools winners. It isn't and I feel absolutely sure that MoN will not be saying just do your best lads and no shame losing to these players at all. He will have our players fired right up as we were v Spurs. We may still lose the game but it wont be the roll over and die result it could have been 4 or 5 weeks ago thats for sure

Remember the Bridge last season?

You just never know.

Man utd will no doubt turn the screw on city making Sunday's game a must win for them. Clearly we need to be at our very best and we will see how city cope woth the pressure. If they fail to get 3 points from us no doubt the media will claim city are in crisis. A lot depends who is fit for us. Let's hope city were up all hours getting hammered and seeing in the new year!
