Yep, always feel like he left the PL too early. Will make an effort to watch Arsenal now.

It was obviously going to happen when Wenger refused to talk about it. I've kind of got mixed feelings about it, he isn't going to enhance his legacy at all and I feel it would be better left alone. Good news for Arsenal though, I don't really rate Gervinho or Arshavin, if van Persie gets crocked they're screwed.

He's been pretty good in the MLS, not quite the magical player he was back in his Arsenal hey day and possibly not even the best striker in the MLS or at Red Bulls, but still a quality player. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing him again.

In fairness, he did leave to go to Barcelona.

I dont blame him for leaving, just always thought he'd retire at Arsenal and have a better go at Shearer's scoring record, becoming an even bigger legend.

One of the ways they could use him is in front of van Persie btw, which would mean RVP scored fewer, helping Demba win the Golden Boot <whistle>

They should use Henry for the league and van Persie for the cups. :D

    Quite.

I wonder what number he'll wear, Walcott's got his old 14.

They should loan Theo here to free up the 14. <ok>

Great idea, that would be very thoughtful of us.

Here's all of his goals if anyone has 14 minutes to spare, some crackers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTebxpuryvI

Just watched the whole thing. Bloody hell he was good, hopefully he still is!

This is my favourite goal by him though:

I dont like him any more but totally respect his reasons for leaving. I dont think it will happen but I hope he gets no boos/light applause.

Definitely don't like him as much as I used to, but that much is obvious. Light applause would be fitting, or at least just no negative reception.

I think people will be focusing more on Carroll though..

Of course he'll get booed by some, it's pretty standard procedure.

Yeah probably, but as long as it's not the majority.

I'm honestly scared for Carroll's life if he gets to play in the match at SJP. Is it possible to get booed to death?

It's not during the match, it's afterwards. We have a fair few idiots who would try to have a pop at him before/after the match.
