Yeah he was totally ineffective. I don’t care how the opposition play, Jude just doesn’t look sharp enough. Never plays it one-touch. Doesn’t try through balls. Slow to get a shot off. He just seems very clumsy at times too.

A number ten needs to be more agile imo. Short, sharp bursts of pace etc. Bellingham is not that guy. And with Kane, that’s really quite a slow front two.

Rice was MotM yesterday imo, but I thought Anderson, Konsa and Guehi were all very negative. Way too many backward passes from Anderson, and sideways from the CBs. The CBs often had 30 yards of space in front of them but instead of carrying the ball and passing through the lines they just passed it along the back line. Didn’t seem to be anyone giving orders or leading the team either.

I know a lot of people are blaming the wide players, but for me the middle of the park was absolutely dead yesterday. Either Bellingham plays deeper so Rogers can come in, or switch Anderson for Mainoo. Konsa for Stones too maybe. I dunno exactly what change is needed, but definitely something.

He'll make some changes and we'll beat Panama fairly comfortably, then everyone will think we've found the solution - we'll then go on to scrape through the next round and look crap.

Rinse and repeat!

Yeah I think Guehi would be very good alongside someone like Maguire. But with Konsa it seems we have two CBs much of a sameness.
And that was so a penalty last night - what the **** was Konsa think jumping in, and more so how did VAR not give that.

I think our CBs could be the reason for our tournament exit in a couple of weeks.

I like O'Reilly btw, I'd stick with him every game and let him grow into the tournament, and have Spence as emergency cover.

I couldn’t believe how slow Konsa was to react to the attack. Their forward was bursting through and Konsa just watched.

Our whole back line is very inexperienced at this level. Already getting found out by bang average opposition.

Definitely think that Guehi and Konsa need to be significantly quicker on the ball, so slow from both of them last night.

Madueke and James down the right were also really negative and having 4 players slow it down so much killed our attacks.

Also feel for Gordon, he hasn't looked great but we didn't exactly go down the left side at all.

That being said, Ghana were very boring and were time wasting the entire game, a Queiroz special. I thought there were time wasting measures for the world cup, every throw in, corner, goal kick and substitution took at least 30 seconds and they weren't told to speed up once.

Guehi and O'Reilly are regulars for Man City. James has played for Chelsea for a long time now. I think you're overreacting somewhat. Tuchel needs to work out which two CB's he wants to play and stick with them and not chop and change. TBH I'm leaning towards Stones and Guehi - Konsa's been average at best so far and got away with one big time last night. And I would go back to O'Reilly at LB.

It's kind of everyone's tournament ever. The ones that go on to win it are the ones that find a real solution at the right time. Then add a dollop or two of luck.

We can still win it, but that dollop needs to really come into play.

I really don't think we win and didn't before last night. No way that defence survives against the best teams imo.

Still think we'll lose to Mexico should it come to pass that we play them in the last 16.

Yeah, I don't think we'll win, but stranger things have happened. We're one of a few that could win.
