Wouldn't have scored if that went on for 180 mins.

Too much sideways, too slow, sloppy passing, crap set pieces and woeful finishing.

Ghana deserve some credit though, their defence was a major physical wall.

I was at the Slovenia 0-0 in the Euros and that game gave me flashbacks.

We did end up making the final of that tournament though....

Gordon needs dropping for Rashford imo, both games he has looked the weak link up front and Rashford looks a step ahead when he comes on.
There's absolutely no decent link up play going on between any of our forwards. Rice is the only one running around and trying one-twos/through balls. Bellingham is too slow and he needs too much time on the ball. Was terrible again today.

First game I watched so far this tournament, England lucky to not concede a pen but a decent game overall I thought. Draw good result for both sides

Surprised to read so much negativity on here.

It was one game, they parked the bus, we hit the bar, Kane should’ve scored and they should’ve had a penalty.

These games happen, rather do it in the group stage with Panama up next than in the knockout stages.

These games happen. Jeez.

And so much finger pointing at certain players.

That said I do think he will bench Gordon and Noni for the next game, and maybe Stones in for Konsa. That said on Konsa I wonder I he will play most games as Tuchel likes him.

This. If we play like that against Panama as well then yes, time to get concerned. I think we'll respond well though.

So whilst I thought last night was a bit of a disappointment and a hard watch, I also think some of the reaction online seems a bit mental.

It wasn't some humilitation, Ghana were decent and we are not the first 'top' side to struggle against a low block in this tournament.

Some got carried away after Croatia and engaged full 'it's coming home', now we have a goalless draw against Ghana and we are irredeemably **** with no chance of getting more than 5 mins into the tournament.

I think my biggest concern was how we defended the few counter attacks. Everyone seemed to panic. We didn't look at all assured.

Apparently Bellingham was given MOTM. Not entirely sure why.
Yeah he was totally ineffective. I don’t care how the opposition play, Jude just doesn’t look sharp enough. Never plays it one-touch. Doesn’t try through balls. Slow to get a shot off. He just seems very clumsy at times too.

A number ten needs to be more agile imo. Short, sharp bursts of pace etc. Bellingham is not that guy. And with Kane, that’s really quite a slow front two.

Rice was MotM yesterday imo, but I thought Anderson, Konsa and Guehi were all very negative. Way too many backward passes from Anderson, and sideways from the CBs. The CBs often had 30 yards of space in front of them but instead of carrying the ball and passing through the lines they just passed it along the back line. Didn’t seem to be anyone giving orders or leading the team either.

I know a lot of people are blaming the wide players, but for me the middle of the park was absolutely dead yesterday. Either Bellingham plays deeper so Rogers can come in, or switch Anderson for Mainoo. Konsa for Stones too maybe. I dunno exactly what change is needed, but definitely something.
