How are Labour doing after their first 12 months

  • Total voters

So he's gone - inevitable... but I do think his biggest failing was a lack of charisma - actually achieved more in his relatively short term in office than any PM in the last 20 years IMHO ...(and I didn't vote him in) ...

... biggest concern for me is that Labour aren't just going to call a GE, much to the disappointment and hopes of the roundabout painters - whoever replaces Starmer will be looking to stay in power for the next 3 years or so - and frankly, their most capable politician has just stood down ...

Starmers biggest problem is that he isn't a capable politician - capable technocrat quite possible but his grasp of "politics" is really poor

Before Labour won in 2024 every **** was complaining about too many GEs, now everyone wants one.

Public hasn't got a clue what it wants tbh, as apparent by the polling, not a single party in the country is even remotely popular.

Wes Streeting who resigned, primarily, to cause leadership contest that he specifically stated was vital to choosing the Labour leader...

Has announced he will not be standing in the contest and fully endorsed Burnham.

... because the reality has set in for him that he's about as popular with the rank and file as a turd at a pool party ...

So he'll be expecting Burnham to reward him with a reach-around for lubing his pathway ...

The media are getting worse, they have a copter flying above the Avanti train Andy Burnham is on, heading to London. <laugh>
