Be honest, do you ever bother to read the endless articles or news reports copied and pasted from the media?

I don't and I doubt anyone else does ...

... how many people ever change their minds on here, be honest.
Not the lying far left ones like the BBC ones they have been caught that many times lying

I really don`t pay too much attention to any single outlet but tend to read a few and base my opinion on the facts i actually know (based on number of outlets with the same story).
We are all in the hands of others when it comes to information on the whole but occasionally get some unexpected info from people actually involved.

I might have mentioned it yesterday, but I'm not sure 'cos I seem to have been 'ignored' :emoticon-0112-wonde but two have been banned from this thread for a week, in the hope that things will settle.

If, after a week, battle re-commences, perma-bans could be the result.

Think about it, lads . . . . you both contribute to other threads, but this one has been ruined. Not by just you two, but it's obvious that we're currently 'getting nowhere' with the nonsensical bickering.

Thought this was worth posting.

It explains how some parties and media outlets present data without the correct filters, or even any filters at all which massively screws the figures. In this case the arrests per thousand comparisons between British, Albanians and Afgans.

Nice of him to share that from “Switzerland”
Wonder if he would change his mind after spending a few days & nights up and down Roker Avenue or down Hendon

Nail on Reforms head.

Yeah that's not what I was getting at, it explains how things are being misrepresented by parties and the media.

Some areas are worse than others. I live down Roker by the way so I know it has issues. Saying that the majority of dodgy characters I come across are white, English teens on those electric bikes.

Thanks for putting it much more elegantly marra. Most appreciated.

Roker Avenue HMOs need tackling, and it looks like Reform have kicked the Bandstand reopening down the lane...

I think you are missing the point marra
Im not, figures can be manipulated to suit any agenda. Far too many people spend far too much time looking at figures instead of actually doing something about the problem. Data analysts can be employed to manipulate the statistics to suit specifics. Its called cherry picking data, we see it all the time in the MSM, particularly on the BBCs Question Time.
You are dead right about the HMOs in Roker Avenue though
