One of the lads we meet at the Museum, Scotty, just messaged.

He’s away with the Tartan Army, at the World Cup, and a load of them walked up to Fenway Park, to see the Red Sox, thinking it was football match.

He was saying the Glasgow lads thought the US Ultras were attacking them when they arrived carrying baseball bats …

… having never seen them used for their original purpose <laugh>

Brobbey remains level-headed after goals: 'Glad I can help the team'

Brian Brobbey reacted calmly after his starring role in the match against Sweden (5-1) at the World Cup. "I am very happy that I was able to help the team,"

"Two days ago, I was shown in training that I would be starting in the starting eleven. I was full of confidence going into this match," said the Sunderland striker.

Brobbey left Ajax last summer, where he struggled to score in his final season. In England, he picked up where he left off, and on Saturday he also showed for the Dutch national team that he can score with ease. "How exactly is that possible? I don't know. Maybe a new club, new people. I have developed very well there. I just try to show it," said Brobbey, who visited his family at the stadium after the match against Sweden. "They are proud of me. That makes me proud too."

Maybe we can learn to make even better use of BB next season by improving our wing play and getting the ball whipped in earlier

Man after the first goal I wanted to back Spain to have 22+ shots. Been suspended since they scored the first <doh>

They look serious here irregardless of the opponent. Ruthless

Another one from X. Sunderland lad.

Brian Brobbey could’ve prevented Northern Rock from collapsing, kept the Titanic afloat, and preserved the structural integrity of the Gateshead flyover.
And imagine if he actually got the benefit of referees’ decisions in the Premier League!
Hopefully next season…
