The team departed from Presque Isle, Maine, USA, early on Thursday morning and have spent the last few days crossing the Atlantic. After crossing into Europe yesterday, they flew over France through the night and safely touched down on the eastern edge of Luxembourg just after dawn this morning. The flight marks a remarkable achievement in ballooning history and an adventure few could ever imagine.
What an incredible journey and a proud moment for the ballooning community!

Strange that this incredible journey has had no Press coverage and no major sponsors.

Am off to Bonneville Salt Flats in August as we’re covering the World Land Speed Record by JCB in a hydrogen powered car. Can’t wait!

From what I have read he is a special needs person who was there with carers.
He probably doesn’t realise that he has done anything wrong.
His carers will come under scrutiny for not being in a position to prevent this but a lot will depend on his behavioural history.
I used to work with special needs people and you need to know their history and how they behave to properly care for them and to be able to anticipate and prevent problems.

Yes, might not be a good idea to let him go close to the perimeter of a crocodile enclosure for a start.

If any of you are fans of Sam Ryder, we did a really nice (long) interview with him, covering Eurovision, Jesus Christ Superstar and his love of F1 and cars...
