18 years old in his first world cup and up against the best striker in world football?

Bit harsh imo.
Agree. He looked pretty comfortable in that environment tbh and would be a stretch to criticise him for any of the first 3 England goals.
Looking forward to seeing how he responds to a negative result - and likely some negative reviews.

Yet again I hear criticism of a team "forgetting" to mark Kane at a corner. Seems quite a thing as a lot of teams also forget. Maybe one day a pundit might have a slightly different opinion and give Kane some credit that even after all these years, and all the tight marking at hundreds of corners, he somehow finds space. Maybe the defenders forgot, or maybe Kane is rather good at finding space when there doesn't appear to be any. I'm sure I've heard pundits compliment other strikers about finding space?

Just a few stats

Number of fixtures at this World Cup: 104 (that's 416 hydrated quarters!)
Number of fixtures in the group stages: 72 (so that's more than double the number of knock out games)

Number of fixtures at the previous World Cup: 64

Now... Why was there a bank of 50 paparazzi-style press photographers on front of the England bench, blocking Tuchels view of the pitch and his players during the national anthem?
Of course it was not because our beloved unbiased and completely un-xenophobic newspapers were pursuing their nationalistic campaign against Ingerlund having the temerity to have a German coach, and trying to capture him not singing! No, of course not.. <doh>

What is the ****ing matter with these people? The country has a coach who might actually bring a trophy back and they are doing their best to find any reason to distract and hinder. <doh>:emoticon-0183-swear

...well now seems to be a good moment for my annual suggestion that Jonathan David is the sort of striker we need
His first goal was excellent. Had a another couple of excellent volleys as well, one well saved and the other lead to the rebound for the first goal

Bloody foreigner, coming over here demanding to know what love is

...wait a minute

Tough game for Scotland tonight. Morocco looked very bright against Brazil.
The Scots will not lose through lack of effort.
