This is actually a good message as well as being amusing

Very clever and gets over a very important message. Some things can transcend football rivalry and this is one of them. In the short term anyone can deal with an itchy tender bit of sunburn. It’s a lot more difficult to deal with skin cancer. Anyone who doesn’t wear sun screen for prolonged exposure in the sun is just inviting trouble.

Wow that really was a hard but at times uplifting read. This story should be shared to younger people, not just as a warning but as an education.

Another story of the Big C when I just thank my lucky stars and say there but for the grace of God as the saying goes.

That's a sad read Becs as its quite clear in the way she is writing what a positive bubbly person she is even with this stuff going on!

I'm 40 and I remember suncream being a we are at the caravan in the sun all day (even then it was hit and miss if we would be told to get it on or not) or we are abroad thing. But what about the sunny days going to school or just knocking about with mates? The sun was still there but it just wasn't the done thing to put it on then and we were worried about burning not the lasting damage it can do to your skin?

It was no better as a young adult. At some point my attitude changed and I can't pinpoint why but messages like this are needed.

IMO sunbeds should be banned as should tanning oils or at least come with a big healht warning picture similar to ***s! Carrot oil etc things you put on your skin just to get a tan. Encouraging people to expose themselves to the sun with minimal protection

My dad just went through a 7 hour operation to remove his from his ear and neck. 2 weeks ago today! The surgeon said he’d need to have it completely removed along with the pathway for it to get to the lymph glands etc. as it was starting that.

Luckily all seems to have been successful, although full results aren’t back yet, but he is at the specialist on Monday, and having lunch with me today. I was terrified I was losing him! We are lucky though, sorry to hear about your friend. Horrible thing cancer. Seen it take 3 of my family and impact 3 others too (cousins, one had testicular and 2 others had breast removals).
