It's great money for a player who realistically won't be near the first team next season though.

Sorts our financial issues and realistically his season last season looks like the exception rather than the rule; it's time to cash in for me.

It depends how you think we’d use him. I would imagine there will be plenty of games where we would want someone to come on and run their absolute knackers off to close down the opposition and make an absolute nuisance of themselves, whilst maybe creating or scoring an occasional chance.

Yeah I'm pretty sure, most of the time his first touch is non-existent and he can't pass 5 yards. You don't improve on that if you haven't got it at 24.

This season he definitely benefited from the environment and the gung ho style early in the season.

He grafts hard and fair play, but I want more than that if we're offered £5m for someone!

I also put it in my head that he pays for Gelhardt and change, and we all know who's by far the superior player there if we're honest.

Acun has been talking about needing to sell to avoid an FFP shortfall since before we got promoted, though promotion bonuses won't have helped.

Simply selling may not contribute to FFP. It depends whether the sale makes a profit or loss.

Joseph is about as good as we’ve got without the ball so he probably would be useful this season. At the same time we aren’t going to get many obvious chances and if one fell to him to turn a 0-0 into a 1-0 he probably wouldn’t take it. I do like him but I think 5M is a good offer which we should take. I wouldn’t be complaining if he ended up staying though.

I also think Joseph would be fine in the PL. The PL now is more about athleticism and physical attributes. Joseph has this all of this. He’s improved this season as McBurnie has been working with him in training.

There is bound to be a sell on clause when we bought him. Steve Bruce is no mug when it comes to selling players on.
