The £6m figure is correct (it’s obviously not on the nose but it’s a matter of pounds and pence).
There’s a couple close to leaving, we've got just under three weeks to sort this out, I wouldn't worry. There's a number of ways we can do it, one of them being Westerlo doing us a favour. We can't use Maribor, but Acun has contacts at other clubs willing to step in and do him a favour.
At some point we're going to have to do Westerlo a favour..! They've helped us a lot.
How do things like bonuses work in the context of all this? Would the extra fee for Abdus (rumoured £2.5m) be in the year we signed him or when it is paid?
They’ve got some decent players. Wouldn’t be opposed to signing them for decent fees that can be amortised if they can help us out.
Yeah it's an interesting one. It sounds like some add-ons that are easily achievable are just counted as part of the base fee, but I dunno who gets to define what's achievable. In the case of an add on for promotion though I'd think it would be getting lumped into this year, which is likely where the majority of this 6m comes from (I'm sure Omur wasn't the only one with a promotion add-on).

I know that Omur is close to going back to Turkiye - I think he's going to Fatih Karagumruk (who were relegated this year but they're loaded) and Palmer's in talks to sign for Luton permanently with Charlton also interested. Famewo also wanted by Charlton where he was highly regarded during two loan spells. No movement on Jacob or Burstow atm, but Tim LT might be heading for Grimsby Town, however they're struggling to agree terms, couple of L1 clubs also interested. Lincoln interested in Cartwright (might be why we activated his contract extension).
I've been told this before - albeit about a decade ago - and I'm pissed off I can't remember exactly how it works, but I think you're not far off; if it's something achievable/tangible within a season, like promotion, survival, a reasonable goal/clean sheet tally, or an international call up if they're already in that national team, then it counts. If it's something like "We'll pay you an extra £2.5m if Charlie Hughes gets an England cap", it doesn't count for that season, it counts for the season it happens in. But that works both ways because if KLP got an England call up tomorrow to replace somebody else (obviously hypothetical), we'd get whatever fee was agreed for that bonus activation.

I'd like us to get the £6m without selling Burstow if possible, a decent champ loan this season and he'd be worth miles more than is being speculated.

Now we're in the Premier League, I'd expect you'll see players like Karol Borys and Reda Laalaoui arriving because it's far easier to get a work permit now.
Both of them will be gone by the time the Premier League kicks off. Whoever signs Dave will be getting a top lad, he's been nothing but professional the entire time he's been unable to play.
We'll only get that sort of money if he performs at Championship level, he did ok at Division 1 level but as yet hasn't produced in the higher league. I hope he does well, but if we get an offer I suspect he'll be on his way.
