You've described my views to a tee mate.
I think both main parties are corrupt with many politicians quite happy to look out for themselves rather than their constituents.
I think the huge problem we have with immigration is down to previous governments over the last 20 years, not prepared to put controls in place. Being to weak to upset the do gooders in this country.
Made it more beneficial to be unemployed with 3 kids than it is to have a job.
Then the problem I have is look at the alternatives and I think we'll we are ****ed.
People actually believe the **** that comes out of Farage's mouth. He is basically telling the public what they want to hear, with no way of actually implementing things.
He wants in power for himself and billionaire buddies. He has no interest in trying to implement the policies and promises he has made.
Now is the time Labour and the tories the currwntneed to actually stand up
It's axiomatic that the current government inherits the failures of the previous ones.
Thatcher's sale of the family silver eg water companies, has left us with **** in the rivers and seas, selling council houses and not using the proceeds to build others, a shortage of affordable housing.
Blair went to war with Bush.. stupid.. also said everyone should go to university..youth unemployment.
Cameron, Bonko Johnson and of course Liz Truss, gave us Brexit, mass immigration, ( we could end up with the disaster of Fa gash as PM cos of this) , and borrowing to the max, (Covid didn't help). The financial crash of 2008 meant borrowing costs were very low, and instead of using this 'headroom' to improve infrastructure and help promote growth, they went for austerity, which has just about killed UK growth for decades.
Now Labour..with lacklustre, boring charisma free Starmer. He appears to be totally boxed in, has been left painted in a corner. He doesn't gave a clue what to do next. I actually think Reeve is at least keeping the bond markets happy, despite the fact that we have maxed out the countries credit cards.
Any political party that attempts to cut the pensioners 'triple lock', PIP, SEND, UC etc will be voted out. Ie once a benefit is given, the electorate does not like it being CUT. see France.
With war Russia a distinct possibility, the huge cuts to the defence budget over the last 20 years are coming home to roost. Although the MoD spending is dreadful, two aircraft carriers, always needing repair and along with tanks, may be obsolete anyhow. The MoD have some sort of Land-rover that makes the troops inside it ill. So even if they had cash, would it be spent wisely.
So is it tax increases, that is a vote winner!
