Hypothetically, if we get a front-of-shirt sponsor for £6 million, can we put it on this season’s accounts or does it have to go on the 26/27 accounts?

I think so…we can put player sales into the books in June, so why not sponsorship too
Not sure we could as it would be related to the 26/27 season so you’d think would have to be deferred but may be different rules for football

It's not that high, probably half that including wages. I don't think we need to spend nine figures to survive if we're canny with our scouting. What we don't want to do is blow it all in Summer and leave nothing for January in case we need it, whether that's planning for the Championship or another Premier League season.
As they have no shirt to go on the front of this year, I can't imagine we'd be allowed to recognise it this year.
Can’t we just pay the £6mill by borrowing it against guaranteed income , Acun could borrow it personally nowt to do with the club - pay himself back whenever ?
