Perhaps, but they are improving just by playing with these lads. Who knows what levels they may yet reach.
That goes for all our players, everyone has something to offer.

Hopefully he does improve but he lacks a yard of pace to be a regular starter for a team wanting to be in Europe each year.

Hume is a pretty solid premier league player and has attracted interest from top league clubs because of it

I genuinely feel like if we signed him in the summer before the premier league people would realise that more (not you specifically by the way just in general)

He gets really underrated for me. His tactical flexibility is massive

He's good at what he does but I don't believe he's better than a CB (Mukiele) playing at RB.

We need better playing week in, week out to be competing with the big lads.

Hume, is easily good enough to be a RB in the Premier League.... i remain to be convinced that he is a defensive midfielder..
But Bris reckons he is... who am into argue

Definitely a starting RB for a team in the bottom half.

Our recruitment at the end of last season was first rate....it took almost everybody by surprise...how much we spent, how we were able to sign up some of these players. I don't expect this window to be any different, except for the numbers......we only need 4 or 5.....but,my impression is,they'll be next level signings. In addition, the hard work will be for us to agree the transfers of those of our players we don't want to retain, but who are under contract...more than a dozen.

It’s inevitable that clubs going up the leagues will naturally outgrow some players but some might make the step up. It was generally accepted, by many people, that Ballard was one who wouldn’t be PL level, I’d say he’s proved people wrong.

Thankfully the club doesn’t make snap judgments on player’s otherwise Brobbey wouldn’t be a starter now, he looked well off the standard at first …

… I wouldn’t want to be the one making the decisions tbh.

On the Geertruida debate I think the fact that RLB started operating with Hume as advanced midfielder (which did not work for a while) speaks volumes of how much he liked LG. Its also worth noting that in the last 7 or 8 games our focus switched to a more expansive style which led to a bit of form problems ( to be honest it has been mentioned on here before) however my expectation is that we will continue to expand our style whilst keeping the core values of what we are trying to achieve.
Our success on the field is not about defensive football no matter what the pundits and youtubers tell us. Its not down to possession and XG or XGA metrics, it is about what our head coach has been saying since he came here.
Connections between the players and the fans. It is the bedrock of everything we are building.
Talent will get us so far. Belief will take us further, but connections and determination can elevate us higher than any pundit could ever dream of.
Till the End
Rant owa!

There's no doubt Ballard is PL level. He'll be in the eye of one or two clubs higher up than us. In my opinion,he,along with Hume,O9, Riggy and Enzo have benefited so much from playing with these other players. It was more or less obvious as the season went on.......they just looked better. If we add quality,it brings the standards up.

Ballard is superb. If he stays fit for even half a season we be fighting a bunch of clubs off.

I get folk can say Nordi is a better all round player, he is, but we never look more solid than with Big Dan and Omar CB.

Spot on mate....he's a top player. I do worry sometimes about his fitness....he does seem a little injury prone...but I'm hoping this close season will give him a real chance to recover and come back fighting ready. If he's on full throttle, there's no way Nordi is better than him in that centre back position.

It’s all very well saying Gerty or whoever will not be in a first choice defence but that’s assuming the first choice play every game and are never injured.
I think all our defenders will get lots of games given the number we will have next season and just think, if Alderete or Mucky get an injury we will almost be down to having no recognised subs for their positions if Hume of Dan need to be subbed or get a knock.
There’s nothing wrong with having subs on the bench who are a similar standard to the first 11 and that means at least 3 top defenders.
I know its actually hard for us to believe but realistically, nearly every player on the bench will probably need to be worth at least 15- 20 million to carry on competing in the PL, other than young players we are bringing through

Think it’s his pure size that causes the injuries. There’s a catalogue of bigger built lads who get knocks.

His missed games certainly seems to have reduced a bit. Better staff, upgrades at academy will all help.

If we're looking to sign him he will be 1st choice

I think we all need to remember that some of the players signed last year may well be ready to shine a little brighter this year. In my opinion Talbi may well be twice the player we have seen, along with that Ta Bi will have had time to settle and may well show what he is about, Angulo could and probably will burst onto the scene in the coming season. And let's not forget about other players who now have some Premier experience like Rigg who not long ago was on Man Citys radar.
New signings will help transform some of what we already have but we also have some very exciting players already here and in truth the youth team are also kicking goals and stepping up
Can't wait for next season to see how RLB knits it all together again

RLB is a clever man, i trust him to get things correct the majority of times.

Can't see Spurs selling

Edit: unless he's used as a deal breaker for Van Hecke.

If he is actually available for under £40m then we should go all-in to at least try. Sign some 34 year old dosser to play on the right wing and use the money on him

Aye, he's a cracking player. One note of caution though is that he's another one who has a stated preference to play alongside his brother so that may put clubs off.

Nordi is statisticaly in the very top bracket in the Premier last season. His numbers are unreal but if you ask me to choose between him and Dan that is a struggle as numbers don't tell the full story.
Dan has been exceptional this season so has Nordi, so has Alderete who is often overlooked, and weirdly LON is probably our most improved player and he deserves every bit of recognition he gets.
I think Hume was really good in the last 3/4 games and I was critical before that! Just shows how clever RLB is.
Obviously the Arsenal CB are in the headlines and rightly so, I just hope nobody has noticed how good Ours have been.
