Match abandoned against Ukraine after Eriksen collapses. Second time this has happened to the man while on the pitch. He's reportedly conscious.
Just read it myself, he managed to walk off the pitch and the Danish FA are saying he's doing well. It's a huge concern after what happened to him at Euro 2020 and fingers crossed for him to make a recovery.

Lads 34, had a great career and it’s wonderful he came back.

Stop now lad. Your body is talking. Go an enjoy your retirement with your family.

Nowt is worth death.
Very much this. I can't imagine any club would be able to insure him now anyway so that might force his hand. Must be hard mind to retire when you're still relatively young and have reached the heights he has.

I would guess his internal defibrillator kicked in and shocked his heart and saved his life .When that goes off you know about it and hence the collapse.I wish him well and I hope if he's fit enough to return to what he loves but if I was married with a young family and financially set for life I would retire fro high end sport. Good luck to him ans what a fantastic player he is!

I doubt any club would get insurance for a bloke who's had 2 heart attacks whilst playing football so I don't think it will be up to him if he continues playing or not. He's a rich man who has had a good career. Look after your health first.

I get that. But I also understand his perspective. My best mate has the exact same thing. Same operation (he’s 50)

He’s currently working towards his 300th marathon. Running one most weeks. He’s had no issues with it. And will keep Doing it until he can’t. The technology is unbelievable and will save his life. And has saved his life. I think he’ll want to keep playing
