Yes I do - we are in Upper West 4Tiger Rev, do you sit in the West Stand by any chance?
me too, I am sure you pass my seat and usually have a chat with me, before taking your seat.Yes I do - we are in Upper West 4
Maybe just sing it and smile.
It’s a bit like the mauled chant for me. As fans we mostly get it, but outsiders might not.

Fifteen times, please.I know it may well not happen but I'd love it if we had at least one game next season where we can sing mauled by the Tigers. The global audience of the EPL needs to see the most unique chat in English football![]()
Which stand is Kempton, I have never heard the term used before except on here. And thats as a long time City fan since the days of Bradbury and the likes of Billy Bly back in the fifthties. It was first sung in the Kempton towards the end of our life at Boothferry Park so it has some age to it. I didn't know it was Sunderland's song when City fans first sang it, it was just a popular song that caught on. I know Sunderland sing it but it doesn't make it their copyright and cannot ever remember them singing it at Boothferry Park.
I thought it was a bit cringeworthy at first but it has stood the test of time at City, much, much longer than most terrace songs.
I quite like the shortened version played before kick off and no-one can argue that it isn't loud and sang with some passion especially in games towards the end of last season. So in my eyes it is the best we have have and the best I can remember.
In the ideal world we would have our own anthem, original and meaning something only to us and I do envy Hull Fc having 'Old Faithfull', and HKR have recently adopted the Erasure song and made it their own. So it can be done even though I cannot see what Erasure have to do with East Hull or a cowboy song has to do with Hessle Road but there you are.
I'd stick with Elvis for now and maybe give Acun's Turkish anthems a listen too, maybe he might have a gem amongst them? Whilst throwing the challenge out there in a serious attempt for an artist, group or anyone for that matter to come up with something better
We used to have season tickets in Upper West 4 until the Allams pulled the concessions stunt, which happened to coincide with us moving to Lancashire, so we decided not to renew.Yes I do - we are in Upper West 4

Wonder how the crowd, owner and media will respond when or if it's a bad run, like the 18 game winless run Burnley or wolves had... Will it be stoic, accepting support like the owls fans had or finger pointing and screaming like the Hammers - at the moment, hope rules, but the summer signing will determine how the season will go, as great escapes aren't that common in the premier League - I only remember west ham when they signed tevez and Leicester the season before they won it.I know it may well not happen but I'd love it if we had at least one game next season where we can sing mauled by the Tigers. The Kempton was the East Stand at Boothferry Park, opposite the Best Stand ( west) where the players came out. Called such because it backed onto Kempton Road. It also backed onto the railway line, Boothferry Halt. It was all terracing, and the covered stand covered a third of the terracing. The low roof made it good for accoustics and the noise created in there made for an intimidating atmosphere. The singing section of the City crowd first moved into the East Stand aka Kempton/Railway stand on May 3rd 1971 from the South Stand aka Bunkers Hill, before Chris Chilton's testimonial v Leeds Utd which attracted a 29,000+ crowd.Which stand is Kempton, I have never heard the term used before except on here. I know 100% that I am fighting a losing battle supporting the DJ on this forum where the average age here is probably about 60 and I’m 30 years below that. You are the DJ and I claim my five pounds. Personally, and I sat within twenty seats of the DJ for the past two season ( moving for next season) and I found him to be a pain in the arse. His play list has nothing to do with football, Hull or more importantly the history of Hull City. It was more fitting to his bedroom or the school disco It means nothing and adds nothing to the pre match atmosphere.
I doubt if more than a handful of his pals are even listening to him.
Bin him and lets get a bit more professional now we are in the Premier League and employ someone, pitch announcer included, who is 100% professional and really knows how to build up the atmosphere at a football match in front of a full house and millions watching live, all over the World on the telly, instead of playing at it as we are at the moment.

Do we share a mutual dislike of Liam Millar's final ball?me too, I am sure you pass my seat and usually have a chat with me, before taking your seat.![]()
Seriously?Which stand is Kempton, I have never heard the term used before except on here. And thats as a long time City fan since the days of Bradbury and the likes of Billy Bly back in the fifthties.
Wrong forum, far too reasonable a post for this one.I know 100% that I am fighting a losing battle supporting the DJ on this forum where the average age here is probably about 60 and I’m 30 years below that.
As I said, different strokes for different folks.
I think it’s obvious that those who are a bit younger enjoy the DJ and those who are older do not.
You'll have to narrow it down a bit.Do we share a mutual dislike of Liam Millar's final ball?
2.45?Wise men say is probably too established now to change it and we have sung it since BP.
But the DJ music played leading up to KO is too loud and sh1t so can't we have a medley build up and include Caravan of Love and Eye of the Tiger in that from 2.45?
