Slovakia and Slovenia have the same root from Proto-Slavic *slověn-. However, Slovakian is a West Slavic language in the same branch as Czech and Polish and Slovenian is a South Slavic language in the same branch as Serbo-Croatian, Bulgarian etc. The flags are similar because they use the pan-Slavic tricolour of blue, white and red which became popular during the revolutions of 1848 and romantic nationalism.

Assume there will be promotion bonuses to pay. They are typically estimated at about £19m, will they impact this yrs calc?

We have no idea what they’d be but I’d be pretty surprised if our bonuses equalled our turnover there or thereabouts. I think they would count into this seasons PSR as it’s a playing cost attributed to this season.

Its going to be an interesting negotiation over the renewal of the lessee agreement with Hull FC that's for sure. They don't want to leave or pay more, in fact they think they should pay less ... Acun, well sergi isn't wrong haha
Just to add to the interest levels, the EPL rules state the following.

"K.4 No Club shall have or enter into a ground-sharing agreement unless the agreement contains a legally enforceable provision to the effect that the playing of the Club's League Matches shall always take precedence over the activities of the other party to the agreement

Reading more about the Squad Cost Ratio, it seems that clubs can freely spend 85% of revenue each season. 85% is the ‘green’ threshold and 115% is the ‘red’ threshold. If a club spends between 85% and 115% of revenue, the club will have to pay a fine relative to how much they exceed 85%. The ‘red’ threshold will also decrease for the following season by the same percentage the club exceeded 85% i.e. if a club spends 97% of revenue on squad costs for 26/27, their ‘red’ threshold will be 103% for 27/28.

Exceeding the ‘red’ threshold results in a fixed six-point deduction plus one point for every £6.5 million above the ‘red’ threshold.
There's an owners equity amount above the green threshold that doesn't incur a fine isn't there?

Well with amortisation you book the entire fee received to the current year but can book fees paid overall several years - that's part of why teams have done reciprocal transfers in June to avoid breaching FFP in the past, I think the deal that took Elliot Anderson to Forest was one of those?

But on top of that EFL rule, there's maybe also jiggery pokery you can agree with a buying club to get more money up front (and perhaps less overall) if you need it before a specific deadline. Although maybe amortisation makes that irrelevant.
Yes cash flow is irrelevant for amortisation.

I’m not sure if that’s specific to the Championship or applies to Prem SCR as well. In the Championship at least, yes, it’s 85% of revenue + £10 million of a cash injection by the owner.

3 goals including two match winners, so 4 points in 7 full games? Nah, nothing to suggest he’s a striker.
You’re misinterpreting the point. There is nothing to suggest Koumas himself thinks striker is his favoured position. You might think he’d be better as a striker (so do I) but there’s no record of Koumas saying that himself.

It still doesn’t change my argument that he’s not very good even as a Championship player, let alone a Premier League one.

Even Dowell scored a goal.

Out of interest, do you think Joseph is good enough?

Id find that more reassuring if our last accounts didnt reveal a salary to revenue rate of over 120%

You might be the person to ask, how come Slovenia and Slovakia have similar sounding names, flags and languages, are fairly close to one another geographically but apparently are nothing alike in most other ways? Did one copy the other?

You need to go way back to before WW1 and the austro Hungarian empire when there were groups of people all over the place brought together under a flag. Post WW1 the Victors drew a load of new lines on a map trying to make sense of all these traditional groups creating Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia among others. As Kalman has put they are mainly Slavs but there are many more than one type which led to internal disputes and eventual break ups.

Would be interesting if there isn't a threshold in the PL. I'm literally listening to the latest Price of Football who are going to give a rubdown on SCR so hopefully they clarify.

Just to add some further context, ‘Slovakia’ and ‘Slovenia’ are fairly young nations or national concepts when referred to those particular names. However, the rough borders of modern-day Slovakia and Slovenia as territorial entities going by different names stretches all the way back to the early Middle Ages.

The Principality of Nitra was an independent Slavic polity in western modern-day Slovakia during the 9th century before being annexed by the Principality of Moravia. The principalities of Carniola and Carantania in the early Middle Ages made up the territory of modern-day Slovenia. Originally, they were independent Slavic principalities before being annexed by the Carolingian/Holy Roman Empire in the 10th century as marches/border duchies.

Also, whilst large numbers of Slavs migrated to the Balkans in the 6th and 7th centuries (as proven by archaeogenetics), it’s highly-likely they intermingled with Alpine Celts, Illyrians and other palaeo-Balkan groups in the region.
