How are Labour doing after their first 12 months

Yes but Uber Eats add premiums and delivery costs to all the prices they list, so its BS.
Food is already expensive as **** and I begrudge paying a 10% premium plus delivery costs, **** that
Just set the filter to places with deals on and there’s always places with 25%+ off assuming you don’t live in bumfuck nowhere. 50% off often.

We seem to be creating an environment where people don't talk to fellow humans anymore. I caught a cab yesterday and was chatting to the driver, that will all be gone with automation, we are creating an environment where people will become scared of their own shadows soon.

I can see the scenario in Cornwall, Piskie will catch a Waymo, window wound down, arm resting comfortably, waving at the poor kids as he goes by, their dads old cab rusting on the front lawn.

He eventually gets to the beach cliff top, takes the bike out the boot, quick snap for the lads before putting it back in the boot to go home again.

He will not even have to take the dog for a walk anymore cab arrives, takes dog to field, waits until he's had his run and brings the dog home again.

All in lycra shorts and a hoodie, obviously.

And end up having to be winched of the couch in a hoist, and rescued from your living room by the Fire Brigade
The sort of freaks who allow themselves to get to the size that would have had them as part of a travelling circus once upon a time aren’t being put off by Deliveroo adding a bit of margin to their KFC trough.

Don't you think unemployment is high enough?

Driverless cars are a bit of a different topic from driverless taxis (although it's the same tech)

I just think that is the direction of travel for personal cars, they'll end up being self driving.

I get what you are saying and don't disagree about driverless cars (rather than taxis) - humans are just going to become cabbages, well too many already are but that's another topic. <laugh>

Although I can probably see a situation where driverless cars wouldn't go long distances, but instead would take you to hubs, then you get on the motorway in some sort of automated pods, like tightly packed convoys on a commonly shared route. Then another driverless car is waiting for you at the other end. If you keep the cars off the motorway that then lowers the risks of delay. Although with pods I can see a scenario of leaves on line.

Couldn't it just take you to the train station?
