Apparently Adidas are pulling out next season, whether just the scum, or all of football.
They'll stay in football, it's massive for them. Them and Nike are miles bigger than any other maker, which is why they roll out the identikits. They pay big cash, so they can.
So the scum product must be toxic? No wonder they haven't got a shirt sponsor and the club have had to retain Howe's services. Richest clerb in da world my arse.
It just looks hideous, and I can't imagine many of them like it. Sponsor is another thing mind, half the league is looking for one after the betting ones became a no no.
But theyll spend big this summer. They'll be selling Tonali for £60m+ on top of the Gordon cash, p!us whatever budget they had.
But they need a lot of players and their buying record the last few years is awful.
The fact it doesn't have a shirt sponsor is significant. It's not like us or Villa for example, we were sponsored by betting companies so not having a shirt sponsor on a newly released shirt is nothing really, just waiting until the new sponsor is announced. In most cases it'll just be a question of wait until the contract has ended before announcing the new sponsor.
But the mags were sponsored by the Saudi state owned entertainment company, it shouldn't affect them at all. So why have SELA pulled out? The fact it's ended and the mags don't have a new sponsor announced is interesting. This feels like another indicator that the Saudis are losing interest in the mags.

That's a good point. I hadn't thought of that. It's not as if SELA was an outrageously large deal, it wasn't. In fact the Saudis haven't really went down the City route of absurdly high "sponsorship" deals, which they could easily have done as the FA have so messed up the City case, they couldn't have complained much.
So as you say, why would SELA pull out? They'll get another sponsor no doubt, but you would have thought that they wouldn't need to look.
It literally only came to mind late on this afternoon during a quiet bit at work. It's a strange one that doesn't make sense, unless one of two things is happening. One, the mags are getting a huge sponsor deal from somewhere, but if that was the case I'd expect it to be announced now because of the way they like to build themselves up. Or two, the Saudis are winding back preparing to pull out.
SELA was a big deal mind. About £20m -£25m a year. Must have run it's course, but interesting that they haven't renewed, unless it's another Saudi business been told to get involved.
Would love it to be Wilkinson Sword.
With the Saudi's appearing to lose interest they may have to go back to Wonga

No way Adidas pull out of football they’ve just done several massive multi year deals with top clubs and players, and ball deals for leagues.
