Doesn't make sense though? If Villa haven't got 3,000 unsold ( empty, same thing) seats every game why are they reducing season passes 'to sell more on the day'?
Do you mean there are less season passes to buy so you have to pay on the day?
Because they can charge more per game for pay on the day and different people coming every week spend more money buying merchandise than pass holders so revenue It is why German clubs sell a lot less season passes than we do to keep different people coming. Of course, as I said earlier, only works if demand outstrips supply. Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal etc could do it and sell memberships like Bayern but wouldn’t work for the rest. Brentford have brought in a membership scheme to get access to on the day tickets.

Sounds like much of a muchness? Surely it's better to pull in regular income from season ticket holders than reach out to an inconsistent market who'll turn up for the Man City's,Liverpool's and Arsenals but might not fancy Coventry,Ipswich or Hull City?

Sounds like a flawed business model to me?
Works if there is more demand than supply.

Safe standing doesn’t increase the capacity. Though we should still have more instead of the pathetic amount we do have for home fans.
Obviously not lower league but we may qualify under the smaller stadiums bit.

Increased Density: Under specific safety guidelines, such as the UK’s Sports Ground Safety Authority's Green Guide, lower-league or smaller stadiums can utilize an "extra step" tier system. This allows up to 72 standing fans to occupy a space that previously held 40 seated fans (a capacity increase of up to \(80\%\)). [1, 2]

The configuration of the stadium prevents us from increasing the capacity, due to egress rates, so though there is safe standing that increases the amount of people, we can't use it.

Is that unable to increase without demolishing one side and starting again. I seem to think someone said this was the only way forward...
The Green Guide that all stadiums need to be follow, determine the number of seats allowed, against the amount and size of the exit points.

They're not going to start demolishing things, if we want to increase the capacity in any meaningful way, it will almost certainly be via another tier on the East stand.

Thats what I was saying, I think someone stated in a post last week that that was not possible..

Any one any idea how long it would take to build a upper tier on the East stand and how much it will cost ?

Wonder if stadium expansion is in the clubs plans...someone needs to ask the question ?

A 25 year 'lifetime' pass? Like a mortgage, but subscription cost tied to rate of an independently determined football pass index... Can only be sold on to another buyer or paid off in full.
Yeah, just like Bradford City's 25 year pass, or Port Vale's lifetime pass. 25 years passed amazingly quickly, and a lifetime was very short. Abridged version, fans were conned. :emoticon-0138-think

It's our time.

Not really. When they installed safe standing at the stadium last summer it didn’t affect capacity, the replacement was 1 for 1.

Of course it is, some types of safe standing are at a 1 to 1 ratio other types of safe standing can increase the capacity by 80%

The type chosen to be installed at the Kcom was the 1 to 1 type.

The SMC chose this type because as OLM has pointed out the capacity of the stadium is determined by the entry exit points.

Years ago Adam Pearson quoted £1k per seat that is 5 Million for 5K more seats above east stand. Obviously we are years ahead now( where did those years go) and I would think it would be 4 times that if possible.
