‘his’ (LJs) 65 players were chosen, bought and paid for by the suits, not LJ himself.
One in particular, Ryan Kent, hardly played. Clearly not part of LJs plans, but arrived at BS3 anyway.
I’m not LJs biggest fan, but I stand up against unfair vitriol.
His inclusion and positioning in our playoff final was down to his DAD, not LJ himself, yet he gets stick for that - and the 65 players when he was manager.
He wasn’t the best - or the worst manager or player we’ve seen at BS3 - but he certainly gets the most stick.

I watch a lot of football and after watching the promotion play-offs over the weekend I see players that look the part and Jones for Notts Co is one of them. I am not saying that he specifically is a player I would want to fill the bill but he would certainly come from a lower league and be cheap. We desperately need hungry players who never quit because that base stands a better chance of success as long nobody from the back halls don't stick their unwanted noses into the mix. A summer of concern but we will know very quickly where the supposed new commitment is taking us and I concerm myself over our new on-field boss as I believe we will be given a major disappointment after all the hype. A beige leopard cannot change it's spots or colour overnight - can they?

Andoni Iraola has 'no doubts' over Tommy Elphick amid Bristol City interest as verdict shared

Bournemouth assistant Tommy Elphick is understood to be the current front runner to become Bristol City's next manager

I am getting a little tired of our managerial quest as it seems we have no known names in our sights and looking at an ex assistant as our saviour smacks of cheapness. TE may very well be the surprise of our future but I am not holding my breath as our supposed leading candidate has little experience in charge of a squad. Time alone will tell if he is the right man and can produce the product needed to improve our beigeness.

Wasn’t A/D an assistant at Coventry, I’m sure he was.

Another who maybe doest’t want the hassle of working under Lansdown perhaps ?

Have we not done our homework again, and approached someone who never wanted to come here in the first place?

Back to option B or C I guess, but the clock is ticking

Think I’m reading he’s been given assurances his job is safe in Bournemouth when Rose takes over. Chance to try European football there.

Forgive my skepticism but haven't we been down this road a few times before and ended up with someone not up to the job? Over many years a lot of us have commented on the Lansdown effect on managers and transfers but this looks like another bridge too far. Whether we are prepared to admit it or not but Lansdown holds the reins and despite all this rhetoric about a major shift in emphasis is starting to look like a large heap of first class manure, again may I add?
