when we were in L1 about to play Gillingham or Accrington or Fleetwood or Shrewbury ( FCK me we saw some sights) and thier take over was confirmed

they were all saying by the time we were back in the PL that

They would be biggest team in the NE, that all the children born in the area would be supporting them
they would have a new stadium
new transport link
bigger airport
would have won the PL,
an FA or two
A league or two
the biggest players in the world
a Champions league win
the Biggest team in the world.

so yeah.

Fair enough, it hasn't quite went to plan. But don't be too harsh on them.

The Hotch Potch hasn't fell down yet, they can still train in luxury at Benwell, they still have the most psychotic owner in football history, they have still only spent £700m in four and a bit years, ( and sometimes play a front three of Murphy, Willock and Osula) and they only have to play one game a week next season.

Not all bad for them.

So, if we hadn't qualified for Europe and finished 9th then he would have been ok with that.

That's crap mentality from a professional sportsman at a supposedly big club.

I've heard they might have some vacancies for Tea Makers, Pie Sellers, Boot Cleaners, Groundsmen and Kit Washers

They really are finding it hard, almost incomprehensible.

I was talking to a lad earlier today. Quite reasonable apart from football. He still really thinks that they are just waiting for the right time to blast a billion on players.

I had to try and explain to him the implications of the Saudis seeking external investment, and that if they find such, then those investors will expect a return.

It took a few minutes, which is quite a long time to put over a simple point, but I think I got there going in the end, by the change in his face!

My cousin was gleefully telling me how the shackles will be off in the summer and they'll haver £250m to spend.....until I pointed out that's pretty much what they spent last summer and wasted it all on ****e. No European football will damage them financially as well. Eddie's nephew is going to have a job on his hands....

We will spend big this summer as we didn't spend big like you lot cause of psr. You broke it but we didn't cause of the big 6 monopoly and the system and premier league mafia!

The club is on about doing it on the cheap from now on aren't they?

XG is fundamentally flawed.

Every team would need to have the exact same skill set on every player who gets a chance for it to work.

If our reserve RB has a free shot from 12 yards he get the same XG for it as if it was prime Henry.

It’s bollocks.

For example £50m Wissa would get same XG for the same chance as £10 million Wilson…
