Cannot claim the glory my fine fellow. Relocated from X but yes its good and I would imagine it just may be used.Very good GTA. Hopefully it’ll catch on
Big words from Granit from the day he signed.
He’s been sold a vision and KLD won’t fail to deliver that to him, or try to.
Was a great embrace between captain and owner on the pitch at the end that stunk of mutual respect and appreciation.
We aren’t here to have one season, they want to build it high and handsome.
If we finish 13th and win Europa so be it![]()
Considerably so mate.Winning the Europa League might be easier than finishing fourth or fifth in the prem. That won't be lost on the Sunderland board.
One thing you can be sure of and that is Luke will get to hear about this and I fully expect something like the young lad getting a personal visit and another signed shirt. If anyone knows someone with a new signed Onien shirt give him a good slap. Scumbag......
Please help this poor family:
A Sunderland mother has spoken of their anger after her grandson had a signed match-worn shirt stolen moments after receiving it following today’s game.
The supporter said their grandson had been left heartbroken after player Luke O’Nien’s wife kindly returned with a shirt for him after the match.
According to the account, the youngster was “over the moon” after being handed the shirt, before a man reportedly came up behind him, grabbed it, and ran off.
Several people attempted to chase the suspect, but he managed to escape.
The grandparent described the incident as “disgusting” and said they hoped the person responsible would face karma for ruining such a special moment for a young supporter.
Please can we get Luke O'Nien to see this and dead out we are all gutted for the lad.
Just watching the scenes after full time on you tube and it's great watching Xhaka and the players asking where we've finished and if anyone had a phone. Looks like Talbi couldn't get signal and big Dan Ballard saving the day. All of them crowded around in a group just waiting for the table to come up and then going absolutely ballistic when they found out was a joy to behold. Thing all they had to do is ask anyone in the crowd and we would've told them!
I remember when we signed him thinking it would be funny if he turns out decent and we end up having the two Humes playing LB/RB long-term... Didn't think it would happen, though, as couldn't see him ever turning out to be half as good as DenverHuuuuuuuuuuuuuuume

Cheers! And you can sure that most were really keen to see you beat the Arabs at city. Now just go and get it done on Sat!Hi guys, just wanted to say a huge congratulations on an outstanding season after your first year back in the Prem after nearly a decade away.
I doubt many of you will remember, but when we played in November at the SoL and the result was 2-2, I came on here and said I see no reason why you can't challenge for a European spot this season - how wrong was I? You didn't just challenge, you got one! But the reason I said that at the time was because you weren't just a plucky newcomer looking to survive, I could see a steely determination in your team to play and fight and take it to whoever your opponents were. I also thought your recruitment was excellent, you'd made some very shrewd additions, especially ex-Gunner Granit Xhaka.
I was never someone who hated/abused Xhaka when he was at Arsenal and felt he was a very integral cog to us - in terms of both leadership and qualities. I didn't even want us to sell him to Leverkusen, but I understood why we did. I also did feel a tinge of sadness that he's not part of our group to win the league. However, I am glad he's part of an exciting, ambitious project at Sunderland where he can also be appreciated by the fans.
Furthermore, didn't realise (if Wikipedia is correct) this will be your first European appearance since 1974 (Cup Wnners' Cup)? Surprising to read a club as big as yours hasn't been in Europe for that long. But at least that wait has come to an end and I look forward to seeing how you progress next season. European teams coming to your ground under the lights? The atmosphere will be raucous.
Congrats once again on a top season and all the best for next season too!
Haha aye we rated Denver didn’t we….I remember when we signed him thinking it would be funny if he turns out decent and we end up having the two Humes playing LB/RB long-term... Didn't think it would happen, though, as couldn't see him ever turning out to be half as good as Denver![]()

I didn't really notice that yesterday but I've seen it since.Just watching the scenes after full time on you tube and it's great watching Xhaka and the players asking where we've finished and if anyone had a phone. I loved that bit, especially Enzo on his tippy toes![]()
A word for RTB. Mighty decent to save the best matchday thread until last. Sterling work and thank you.
And to you, my fellow mackems. Outstanding contributions from everyone and I'm sure there's lots more stories and reactions to come.
We are Sunderland and we are Europa League. HTL.
Great reaction from on the BBC match report comments too https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/live/c4g86g4xx6vt
