Turns out they were all from the same family and all karked it at the same time.

The Community are already gobbing off about it being racist. Not the cause, as that isn't known, but because three negroes drowning isn't front page news. They are now claiming black women aren't safe - “We need to tell Black women to take care. We need to tell the police and other authorities that we are aware of what’s going on and we are raising this as a concern. They don’t seem to be too concerned. So we have to save our own lives, basically.”

This from one Ngozi Fulani, the same woman who got her juju beads in a twist when a posh honky asked her "where she was from" because she was dressed in a mish mash of ethnic clothing and had a made up African name instead of using her real name of Marlene Headley from Harlesden.

"We are aware of what's going on"??! I know negroes are prone to paranoia and conspiracy theories but it seems to suggest that there is a country-wide situation where black people are drowning. Nothing to do with not being able to swim (because that is either your unconscious bias, a micro aggression or out and out bigotry to suggest such a thing) but no doubt the legacy of slavery where evil white plantation owners refused to let anyone go for a dip in the Caribbean sea and they haven't been able to overcome that disability ever since. Maybe it's why they want £18Trillion in reparations. They can buy all the water wings and swimming lessons they could ever want once the cheque hits the mat.

Still, why not turn a tragedy into a publicity stunt? Worked for Saint George of Minnesota well enough.

I like trains.

I wouldn't dream of driving into London from the Shires.

I'm going in a couple of weeks for number 1 son's 21st to go out to a fancy restaurant.

A few beers in the city & a couple of M&S cans on the way home
