It's nowhere near that simple. How the **** can fans trust a word that Solak, or Spors, or Parsons say now? They can all **** right off.

I mean, it is that simple. If they all stay, they bring in a good manager and make some shrewd signings, we start winning football games again it'll turn around pretty quickly. Everyone is understandably very emotional now, but this stuff spins about very quickly when you're back on the pitch.

Spors will almost certainly be gone. Hopefully Parsons too.

I don't hugely blame Solak tbh, while it happened on his watch and it's obviously another black mark on his ownership it's not like he would remotely know about it.

It's the final ****ing straw with SR full stop. I don't give a **** if Solak was aware of it or not, he needs to sell up.

Genuinely impressive record, a 25 point season, a 12 point season and,…as if having built a strong reputation as ****ing embarrassingly bad at the football wasn’t enough, the entire reputation of the club has been dragged through the mud now too with everyone watching and throwing rotten vegetables at us. Laughing stock on and off the pitch and widely ridiculed as cheats for years to come. Quite incredible. Thanks a lot Sports Republic. Off you ****.

If we had lost in the final on Saturday, we still would be losing a lot of our better players regardless. Harwood-Bellis, Peretz, Jander, Charles, Scienza all come to mind immediately.
I do think more will want to go after this than simply if we'd lost the final.

Obviously it's not as simple as them wanting to go equals leaving but agents will be very busy and keeping them around could be damaging.

Yeah you’re prob right, I’m maybe just letting how gutted I am get to me. Scienza, Peretz & Charles are certain to leave and destined for the Prem now. THB I’m not 100% sure will make the leap up yet, but maybe someone more certain for promotion will snap him up now. Maybe his arm could be twisted if they make him club captain now & tell him he’s at the head of the rebuild. Who knows.. he’s probs absolute fuming, as I can imagine they all are. Devastating end to the season! That’s me out for tonight folks, what a rollercoaster ay… never a dull day with our lot that’s for sure. Up the ****ing saints!!!

I've long speculated that there may come a time when he's willing to cut his losses and I do wonder if this episode might hasten that. Still needs someone to buy us though of course.

The worst possible situation is that he gives up but can't sell the club. Then we'll be in Sheffield Wednesday territory.

It's an omnishambles of the highest order but we need to remember that old bathwater and baby thing in the aftermath.

It feels awful now, and there's a HUGE job to do in terms of rebuilding the club, and rebuilding trust. If Spors genuinely isn't involved in the spying stuff, I hope he stays as he's our best chance of doing that, and he really, really should be breaking his balls to sort this out for us now.

By the time the new season rolls around, I very much suspect we'll be back into the circus of it all and be as excited as ever. New manager, new players etc etc. Take a deep breath everyone. This too shall pass.
Totally - no one will care after a few heads roll, we get a few answers, and England win the World Cup. West Ham and Spurs will split our player roster (which players go to which team will depend on who comes down and who stays up). I'm utterly gutted to lose Jander, THB, and Scienza when we were on the brink of potentially keeping them for at least next season. Would have loved to have found out how this team would have fared in the PL on this run of form, but oh well.. we can't have good things.

Trust this to be slap bang in the middle of the moment where we have to watch teams celebrating all their victories this season - Arsenal, Villa, and more to come.

Many clubs have come down and found the same old ways to spunk their parachute payments and flounder around in the Championship and below for years on end. At least we found the most original way yet!

You have every right to be though. This is the most emotional I've ever felt about any of the teams I follow across all sports. Ever. Thank god there's a WC in 4 weeks so I can at least be let down by England to complete the football fans bingo card.

I don't see it that there would be a fire sale and "everyone" will go. The one player in midfield that I think everyone will want is Jander but the rest won't have a long queue of PL clubs or "better" champ clubs after them and there still needs to be some level of negotiation on fees.
