I don't know where we go from here. How does the club get the fanbase back on side? What happens when we lose THB, Jander etc? I cannot for the life of me see how the squad gets rebuilt and how they expect the fans to turn up to watch Bazunu and ****ing BBD stinking out the place. We'll just about stay up and then when the parachute payments run out we'll drop like a stone the following season.

I'm not sure what's worse from SR, this or the record low points total.

Seems to me there’s only 2 ways this should go:

• SR sell up in the summer & we have a total rebuild around our youth team and a new energy from top down

OR

• SR double down and show they mean business by trying to sue the EFL, keeping our current structure and telling players we signed in summer to get to work as they have new contracts (can’t see this happening!)

What will actually happen is we’ll keep the dross and float around 21st all season

Ah well we go again.

Still think we have the makings of a good squad for next year and confident we can move past this. Best way to win fans back is winning. That's arguably easier in the championship than the prem.

We'll lose loads but we'll definitely be able to attract plenty too.

But replacing the DOF and manager (at minimum) all in one go is a huge risk given the current owners record.

It’s really, really ****ing sad… Hate to be negative, but really can’t help but feel this is worse than the Lowe times. I know we’ll be back, as we’ve all seen we just hate down and out & we will defo be back!! But this really is the lowest I think it’s been, after what was honestly probably my favourite season as a fan in my 30 years!! Maybe that’s why it feels so ****e as it’s such a juxtaposition. Absolutely gutted for everyone & the players too. The way they came back in some games this season was unbelievable & they deserved the promotion so so much. Hope each of them goes on to have top careers, especially
The Club as founded in 1885 is dead. The ‘Southampton Way’ has been trashed.

There will not be a ground in this country which will treat our loyal supporters in any way other than with continuous abuse and vitriol for years to come.
Any effort to be, as you described to be ‘defo be back’, whilst I admire your spirit for sure, can only start after a long re-form and re-start with a complete change of management which can be fully trusted.

Much hard earned cash and time has been totally wasted by us the fans. The EFL have made a complete mess of the situation just to compound the pain and pure embarrassment for us the paying fans!!

I cannot support a Club that deliberately deceived the lifeblood of its long existence.

on the plus side, if we had lost to Hull in the final (which is very possible) then the effective punishment will only be a four-point deduction, which doesn’t sound too bad

Clutching at straws, I know!

In my head I’m now in an alternate reality where this was the outcome.. thank you Tupac! Knew there was a reason I preferred you to Biggie :emoticon-0152-heart

They're going to have to offer serious discounts (which they won't) on ST renewals to even get close to filling St Mary's next season. I am not prepared to shell out over £500 to watch a team of rejects play week after week.

I hear it, but I just also don’t see how Solak continues either. **** trickles downward & although he has set us up commercially very well, he’s always said he’ll walk when time is right. The time is right tonight I’m afraid, which is a shame because I do think Spors is a real coup for us, but we can’t keep going in circles with this lot anymore! This has to be the nail. There are better owners out there I’m sure of it!

I agree, but I feel a new manager, players, board members and owner in one summer would do more damage then good.

**** me this is well over the top. Man up mush.

It feels awful now, and there's a HUGE job to do in terms of rebuilding the club, and rebuilding trust. If Spors genuinely isn't involved in the spying stuff, I hope he stays as he's our best chance of doing that, and he really, really should be breaking his balls to sort this out for us now.

By the time the new season rolls around, I very much suspect we'll be back into the circus of it all and be as excited as ever. New manager, new players etc etc. Take a deep breath everyone. This too shall pass.

I’d love to see SR be strong, keep most of our best players, piss the league. I just can’t see it.

Bunch of ****wits they are. This is worse than the Lowe era.

Yeah I hear that too. I’m just concerned that we are gonn struggle to hold on to most players now they’ve been deceived and ****ed by the technical team.

It’s a funny one… mid way through the season, the old guard Russelites couldnt **** off quick enough. Now all of a sudden I don’t want them to leave!! Football ay..

It's nowhere near that simple. How the **** can fans trust a word that Solak, or Spors, or Parsons say now? They can all **** right off.

Let's see. If the good ones want to go, they'll get the offers to go and will be off, more than likely. The others can't just walk out though, so I don't think it'll be the widespread devastation people fear. The key thing now is getting the right manager in that the remaining players buy into. They'll forget a lot quicker than we will.

If we had lost in the final on Saturday, we still would be losing a lot of our better players regardless. Harwood-Bellis, Peretz, Jander, Charles, Scienza all come to mind immediately.
