Now that the Castle St roadwork's are just about complete, still a few bits to do I understand, and Queens Gardens refurbishment doesn't seem far off, things are starting to come together a little. Shame about the former Co-Op building, don't think that I will get to see how that turns out. But whilst looking around QG, bits of it are open, I coulldn't help but notice how scruffy the former Police Stations building is starting to look. It was opened so such fanfare it seems to have slipped somewhat in appearance. Not sure who is responsible for it looking like it is but it puts a damper on the the rest of the upgrades going on around.
Another thing that I saw was the the office part on the ground floor of the BBC building is closed, no one in the reception. So I wrote to the BBC, basically saying are your rationalising your studio count and is Hull for the chop. On a related matter being a viewer of Look North programme the weather forecast for the 6:30am bullitin seems to come from anywhere other than the East Yorkshire/North Lincolnshire area. Last week was really pushing things, the weather forcast came from Berwick, covering the Newcastle area. I await their reply, I didn't realise that it has to go through many channels before reaching a person who can actually reply.
